Northern Thailand & border countries need this economic incentive to stop the massive consequences of burning on public health💚🙏

In Thailand, they use rice straw to create food packaging (similar to polystyrene).

Let us not forget that rice straw bales are perfect for building eco friendly and highly insulated houses. Rice straw is less susceptible to rot than wheat, rye and oats straw.

    1:14
if rice straw can be silaged, then all the fuss is eliminated. but if i am not wrong, rice straw cannot be silaged and that is the problem.
so a question: is rice straw suitable for cattle to eat?
    2:25
    1. grammatically incorrect sentence.
    2. incorporation of what?
    4:47
why 'good feed additive' and not simply 'good feed' ?
    5:08
terms like 'urea treated' and '75% grass' etc. imply that non-treated raw straw is unsuitable for fodder. so, option 5 at 1:14 has certain conditions. Plus, feeding the cattle with material that is 'forced' to become suitable for them, doesn't sound promising.
    7:08
    incomplete sentence
mushroom production and compost are two good points.
    thumbs up.

i am thinking that pelleting could be a good option, as is compost like you said. a good way to catch while harvesting, would make any uses much more efficient imo. it seems the study shows a bit higher quality than standard dry matter hay. possibly it is just as useful as soil cover, but any added value as feed, would be awesome.

Many kinds of straw are readily eaten by animals but contan only cellulosis. However its bacteria in both rumen and soil doing the actual digestion. Bacteria are made of protein, wich is C and N. Because straw is almost only C, Fields n-depleted after harvest and rumens need some N so bacteria can make more of themselves to be able to digest straw better.
Fungi inoculation is a way to get nitrogen into straw. After that it can be INCORPORATED INTO SOIL for bacteria to digest.
Straw can be ensiled if one ads N and sugar (urea and molasses) , these are needed to get bacteria wich in turn produce acids (from molasses) wich turns straw into silage. In the rumen N from these bacteria and leftover urea are re-used.
Adding urea enables ruminants to make valuable protein from feed that is hard to digest. As an added effect straw gets digested more quickly, thats why ruminants eat more of treated compared to untreated straw. So total energy intake is much higher.
Hope this helps. Have a nice day.

Palay price is so low,how we can improve rice production to give farmers a better profit.Impirted rice gives price to palay at disadvantage to industry.
