Good honest review. I love using Twisted Lily for samples. They have so many good niche fragrances. I am currently sampling Vanilla Black Pepper and Red Wine Brown Sugar by Bohoboco as well Hermetica PeonyPop. I think you’d love PeonyPop, peony and raspberry.

I just recently added faces of Francis from vilhelm to my sniff list and I think I will try moon carnival too and see what I get off the skin. Thank for the introduction to Aetliier. I've heard very little on this house. This was fun!
Hi Carla. Yes Amouage is amazing but it is an acquired taste. Vilhelm is an interesting house too for sampling as their scents are not conventional. You are welcome.
Love been sampling Oud Satin Mood for the last 2 months, thanks to generous samples received with one of my recent purchases. It's definitely a love. Will get a full bottle soon.
I sampled Marfa for about a year before I randomly bought a bottle for 30-40% off from MaxAroma. I don’t drink alcohol often so I didn’t peg that this smells like a beverage. I do agree that Marfa doesn’t smell like a perfume, and I see why it’s one of Memo’s best sellers. I wear Marfa for those days where I want to smell pleasant but not stand out. If I want to stand out, I’ll wear Madurai. Also, I think I recommended a while back to sample Memo’s French Leather. Given your review of Rose Ardiose, maybe the Head Elf will enjoy French Leather more?
Great video! I really enjoy sampling and large decants too. Currently sampled: Vilhelm’s Dear Polly, Mango Skin & Oud Affair. Dear Polly and Mango Skin will be very nice for spring/summer. Oud Affair was a NO! I do not like the particular Tobacco they used in it 🥴🤢 something about it just makes me cringe, it’s nauseating and a bit too masculine for me. I also recently smelled Kilian Born To Be Unforgettable and Initio Narcotic Delight both are a huge NO! I don’t like them at the moment 😷😝
I bought Moon Carnival this past weekend when I was at Saks. The longevity isn't the greatest on me. I'm not a fan of Oriana and agree their is no comparison.
The leather/earthy notes just ruins it for me. The sample I was playing with today was Nefs by Nishane. Nefs is a no for me. I did like the dry down but all in all i think it's marketed for men. I also was playing with Hibiscus Mahajád and i am on the fence with it because it has a leather and green note in it.
Now I’ll forever think of chewy banana Runts when I wear Moon Carnival -which isn’t such a bad thing 😉. I wonder if it’ll hit differently in an another season since I know you hold your samples to revisit scents later. Marfa was the 1st full bottle I ever emptied (during the “inside” 🤫days). This was fun. I enjoy getting different points of view on fragrances 🫶🏾🙏🏾
