  • Hi. I found a few relics dating from the first World War such as fuzes, shells, buckles, casings and so forth. I found some old glassware as well dating back to early 1900s. Another great find was a lee enfield rifle oiler with the original gunoil still inside. The field, meadow I was detecting was once the location of a British artillery battery, given information seen on a map. Overall a great relic hunt with nice finds dating from ww1 and further back.
