You could have done this so many ways that would have worked, and been different kinds of spooky (haunting is an even better word--spooky is not dimensional enough for this), and missed. You did you, and *slayed* this. You succeeded. It's most haunting (and spooky) because you almost underdid it, by being totally honest. Happy shivvers :-) You both did things that just made me go "ooooooooooooooooooo"--but I'm glad you changed the question to "haunting" over "spooky"; haunting has more umph. You put a spell on all of us.
Listened to Anni Lennox, Joe Cocker and Jeff Beck. 3 artists I really enjoy to listen to. BUT: your version. As several said; it is soft, yet "dark". Spooky. Melancholic 🤔 Great video and outfit 🤩 👍👍👌👌
