Hey Phil! I purchased the Mixtrack Pro FX earlier this month. It is a great controller, and you’re absolutely right the effects section is what sold me. Numark really makes solid controllers and they won’t break the bank. Appreciate your channel and content.#Salute
The more I watch all these reviews & dj sets with all the entry level controllers it's really made me lean towards Numark fx. I've been a diehard Pioneer junky since back in my car audio days & it's carried over to dj gear. Since the ddj400 is backordered I've been forced to look at other pioneer controllers but wasn't finding what I was looking for in my price range (really love the ddj800 but abit pricey for me atm). So I found a handful of brands & have found that this Numark is looking more appealing than the ddj400..thought I'd never go for Numark over Pioneer.
Just purchased one of these and could not be happier, first mix sounded like it was out of a club. If you are planning on manual beatmatching DO NOT I repeat do not buy a pioneer entry level controller, the pitch faders on them are so small and sensitive it's a beyond a joke and the DDJ-SB3 doesn't even have a cue mix button for mixing through your headphone late at night, thank you numark!!!
Exactly. That's why I bought the platinum Fx because of the pitch sliders as I was used to the bigger pitch sliders from my pioneer cdj 200 years ago. I am so glad I went with the platinum Fx. Its an anazing piece if kit.
For anyone wondering should I or shouldn't I. You absolutely should! I bought the platinum Fx for 155 pounds from cex and am so happy with it. I have no intention of using the 4 deck capability but the platinum is a must for the led screens. They are so helpful and saves you constantly looking at a laptop.
Thanks for the informative breakdown! My first controller was a Numark Mixtrack and I’m not surprised by the quality as an entry level controller- I liked mine! I think if I were to do it again, I’d opt for the jogwheel display if only to not have trained myself to look at a computer screen! 🤦♂️ Also love the editing! Nice work!
My only prob is that the pitch slider does not have a click in the middle. It would have been good to have the centre line protuding so you can know when there.
I ordered a Mixtrack III all the way back in July from guitar center and it still hasn't arrived, I'm sure it's got something to do with me being in SoCal but even still it's been a real pain
I know this is old but I am trying to decide between this and the ddj flx4 from pioneer. Any preference? I am just going to play at the house as I djd for years on vinyl so the larger jog wheels look more familiar. I will be just messing around at home maybe making mixes and hoping my son takes an interest. This controller just seems more familiar from my experience from turntables, time coded records to cdjs. Never messed with controllers so Im a total novice here.
@Mikki9741 I was going to get a ddj400 for the same reason, but the more I see of these the more I am tempted to go for the platinum fx. The main reason I wanted RB is for the import/export of cue points, Is this something that can be done in Serato Pro?
I am trying to go back to doing live streams and have bought a set of these but I am having an issue where I can hear the track I am cueing up in the stream before I bring it in on the cross fader. I had it working fine before but for some reason cant seem to match the settings. I was doing the same on a party mix I picked up before buying this but now its just not happening. Anyone have any ideas?

I midi map the pitch bend buttons to more useful features that i regularly use that aren't on the controller
What've you mapped yours to?
@@Flowermouth Slip mode + and censor/ slip reverse -
That’s a good idea
Phil I bought your beginner course. What controller should i buy? Impulse 500 , DDJ400. Numark?
Ddj400
Mate both are great but what do you think about the pioneer ddj 400 ; )
Good luck for future mate :)

Hi Phill what did you use overlay video for the Instagram link?
Are the jog wheels on the pro FX lighter than those on the platinum FX? Easier to scratch?
hey phil, might be a stupid question but do you need an amp or can speakers go direct to the controller deck
Please, I want to ask if numark track 3 support headset
I got one today, but I can't get scratch mode to work. Crazy annoying.
What is wrong? Any help? Maybe I didnt download the correct drivers?
Impulse 500 vs one of these?
Hi will the platinum work with djay pro 2 on iPad?

Will this work with Virtual Dj Pro?
Check your settings. There should be a 'compatible controller' section
Yes it works with VDJ - source, I use this with VDJ.
If you want to become a club DJ you will probably want to find yourself leading to use 4 channels but club gear is Pioneer! 😎🎧👍🏻
tripod ?
