- Kill weeds for good. Today we are spraying Glyphosel pro 41%, (glyphostae / roundup) to kill canada thistle as well as other invasive weeds and grasses out of flowerbeds, walkways, gravel... but not the lawn. DO NOT USE ON YOUR LA
WN IF YOU WANT ANYTHING TO LIVE.
Canada Thistle is a noxious weed in utah and must be destroyed.
If you are concerned about roundup / glyphosate, don't use it. find and alternative that firs your beliefs. this will be the most effective long term control for my property. Do what's best for yours.

I am okay with you using Roundup. 1. because you know what you're doing. And 2. Grown men don't tell each other how to live their lives. Have a great day.
Damn straight
Cool that your helping control noxious weeds.
Have to do it
Love this and I will use this in my beds that are mulched and smoke off those weeds and unwanted Bermuda… and there’s that green liquid again 😮
No problem when used as directed. I hope this solves your weed problem, John. Like most of us, the longer we work in our yards, the more we learn what works and what doesn't work on the issues we repeatedly see in our yards.
Great work I love my roll around Petra 13 gallon one I would love to get one of the small one like you have very handy size
I have a few of their sprayers in different sizes. This one is great for this type of work
Do you have any idea how to kill/control Sow thistle in a cool season grass?
I still use it on my crack weeds and gravel boarders just not on my lawn anymore. Just pull any weeds that show up on my lawn now
Yeah, I’m with you. I’ve seen maybe three dandies this year and plucked them. The state is riddled with them this year
Dealing with Canadian Thistle in my beds and pushing into my lawn. Had to get on my hands and knees with GreenShoots foam herbicide. Cutting them back to and inch and then capping the stalk with the GreenShoots to inject into the plant. DEAD.
Did you change your shoes before you started walking on your good grass?
You know it. Round up tracks are a very popular statement piece
I find that it’s a great spot killer but has no or little residual effects. I think that it’s the broadcast use, the hybrids that have been developed that are resistant so it can just be used indiscriminately, then the development of it as a harvesting aid in wheat production that has given it an extremely bad reputation. Watching a family friend spray hundreds of acres of fields to “even up” the maturity right before the combines were going to arrive was disheartening. ✌️
The hybrids are a US thing, in Canada folks chem fallow, pretreating before planting, because diesel is expensive and glyphosate is cheap.
Our very short season makes that harvesting window crucial and glyphosate makes dry down even, as you said.
In my opinion glyphosate seems to harm folks from the US that do not have health insurance and have access to pay on winning Lawyers more than other countries.
Another issue is our Domestic version is 7% and works very well and in the US it is marketed at over 40%.
I do not know why that is.
If there was a horror movie about weeds that thistle would be the star :)
I wonder why Canadian thistle is so bad? I get it in the back hill and I use a product and it does kill it but it seems to come back most years?!
Canada thistle is capable of forming a monoculture in all habitats, displacing native or beneficial plants.
Interesting? Best to use a good chemical to get the root and all then!
@@gerryhenning7337 absolutely
Go get those weeds, buddy !!
I’m going to be doing a bunch of follow up apps as these spring storms roll through
@Lawncology ok, I'll look for the videos 👍👍
I like my weeds in a bowl
Lol
The murder sauce is on!
Fo’sho’
I know you know but it is worth saying, the early (Polyethoxylated tallow amine) surfactant is more dangerous than the active ingredient. Cracks me up a little when people blame the Glyphosate all the time. PPE, follow label, and use you noggin. EZPZ
I hate thistle. And it can give a very nasty allergic reaction. As far as glyphosate, it's far worse in agriculture. I have to question how much these farmers are really getting in increased yields vs just leaving the weeds with the crop.
It is a wonder how much natural weed and grass cover “steals” from a crop. I’m sure there’s a study on that, I’ve never looked.
Thistle-B-Gone!!!
So many this year it’s crazy
