TTC Buses at Islington Station

TTC Islington Station has one bus platform remaining in service on the edge of "the tubes" of its bus terminal. With MiWay having moved to Kipling Station in 2021 and most TTC routes having moved to Kipling when the subway extension opened in 1980, only TTC routes 37 Islington, 50 Burnhamthorpe, 110 Islington South and 937 Islington Express remain at Islington. Several different plans have been proposed over the years for redevelopment of the site of the station. While time is ticking on the structural viability of the existing terminal, so much so that buses have been moved out of most of it, it will be exciting to see what the new terminal will look like. Orion VII, Orion VII NG and Nova Bus LFS buses from Queensway Division served all routes at the station at the time of recording between August 2023 and March 2024.
