You saved me over $500 bucks! Keep the videos coming, I happen to have the same car as you mine is a 2010, not alot of major differences. Thank you again for your excellent tutorial 👍
Great review I'm a Ford Powerstroke diesel mechanic who was wanting to service his wife's BMW. Watch your review and had it done in no time thank you brother
Great video thank you so much for the help I'm a mechanic and this is my very first BMW you just saved me a whole lot of trying to figure it 😉😎 thanks again
Great video, I have a 2010 528i that is misfiring in cylinder 4. This helped show how easy it is to swap the plugs and coils. Thank you and I look forward to more videos.
Hello! Did you replace S.plugs and Coils with Original Bmw parts ? Which Brands did you use ...so many on the market..which are the best ? Thanks , Michael
This actually looks like something I could do. Mine is at the dealership right now having this done to the tune of $1,500 ... maybe next time! They are doing a couple of other things which are not included in that 1500 which I don't think I could have done.
I changed my bmw 535i 2008 ignition coils & sparks plugs. After that, my car still manages to shake when turned on. We are not sure why this keeps happening. Is it that we need to change all of them?
Great job! May I ask what kind of grease is in the green packet? I need to replace my coils and spark plugs. Thinking to get NGK spark plugs but Bosch is still good.
Charlie Enkhzorigton the ignition coils come with the connector part. Unless you mean the spark plugs, either way I recommend to change all. It’s already a hassle to take all this apart so I just felt might as well since I plan to keep this car for a while. Good luck.
The Reason For Changing The Coils/Plugs Was Because Of An Issue U Had., I Notices U Said The Check Engine Went Off On Its Own.. Im Having An Issue With A 2011 528i And Seems As One Of The Coils/Plus Is Missing Fire. I Got A “Drivetrain Malfunction” Msg. And The Engine Light Came On. Did U Had A Similar Issue With Urs?
Sorry for the late reply Angel I have been out of the country and been busy lately. I did not have a Drivetrain Malfunction Msg. I had a different light come on but i cant think of it now. I will make sure to include codes that i get for all future videos. Hope someone else out here can help you out. Good Luck.
Hello Jonathan De La Cruz, Yes it's a great car, I love it. I was in a hurry to purchase the Ignition Coils and Spark Plugs so I just went to my local Auto parts store and purchase the Bosch Platinum Spark Plugs for 12.99 each and the Bosch Ignition Coils for 43.99 each. I am sure you can get the same ones cheaper if you order online, since I didn't have the time I really needed this to be done ASAP. Thanks for your comment and subscribing, I am just starting some videos so hopefully I have more soon.
I just bought a full set of both, for this exact same car (not the same color ;-). The parts store, even with a discount, wanted to sell them all to me individually and added up to over $300. I was able to get a full set of both plugs and coils (The Bosch) for under $200 from Amazon. As a first time bmw driver driver. I find they are easier to work on than expected. Also... Holy fuck they use high end parts. It will not benefit you to remember the cost of a tune up on your Honda, or to skimp and get the cheapo parts.
Great job! Have the same car same color too hahaha Can you please tell me Which coil/cylinder is number 4 Im having a code P0204 I know its a 6 in line engine Is it from front to back or the other way around ? Thanks so much

Hello! Did you replace S.plugs and Coils with Original Bmw parts ? Which Brands did you use ...so many on the market..which are the best ? Thanks , Michael
Did you disconnect the battery before working on the coils and spark plugs. I’ve heard a few recommend doing that but I’m not sure.
what size socket were you using for the spark plugs? great video
Great video well done bud!! Doijg mine this weekend. Thanks again.

Do you always need ew ignition coils?
I wish you would have told us the brand of products you used on your car
Guys, may I ask a question? When it missed fire 1 cylinder, do we have to replace all 6 spark plugs and coils or we only replace 1 missed fire? Thanks

Careful with tool ,have remove and install spark plug only with 7ZKE14 Special Spark Plug Socket Bi-HEX SW14. (20 Nm )
Who is the on breading so hard In the video between 10:55 and 11:11 minutes ? Sound creepy, nice video !!!🔥🔥🔥🔥

I'm not 100% sure.but,I believe bmw does not recommend using any type of anti-seize..Just a though..Great video!!!
The maintenance manual specifies a copper based antiseize but most of the newer plugs don't really need it.

your injectors needs replacing bud.
The antiseize should be copper based and the dielectric grease should be silicone.
Torque to spec?
great video man!

nice job bro
GREAT VIDEO
worked for me!
great video, do i need to get the ignition coil packs with the connectors or will just ignition coil packs be ok?
Charlie Enkhzorigton the ignition coils come with the connector part. Unless you mean the spark plugs, either way I recommend to change all. It’s already a hassle to take all this apart so I just felt might as well since I plan to keep this car for a while. Good luck.
Louis Garage DIY thanks for your reply, yeah I've bought both parts, hopefully be fitting them this weekend

I have an 2008 535xi and my spark plugs literally won’t come out so I can replace them😕 I just got the car
Nice detailed video. I have your same car, same color. Where and how much did you spent on the coils and spark plugs?

Louis, I need to know the exact socket wrench and size to remove spark plugs. ASAP. 2008 BMW 535i e60 thanks!
You ever find the right socket I have 535i too
Great job! Have the same car same color too hahaha
Can you please tell me
Which coil/cylinder is number 4
Im having a code P0204
I know its a 6 in line engine
Is it from front to back or the other way around ?
Thanks so much
Front to Back. So Cylnder to the front is 1. Cylinder to the back (inside of car) is 6.
My F10 model is much easier. I do not have any of the cabin filters in the eng bay to deal with. Great video!
What size extension are you using ?
Hello DTZ. I am using (2) 3/8-inch extensions bars that are 6 inches long each. Hope this helps.
Louis Garage DIY ok thank you
i have a question, changed the coils and plugs started the car up the car is smoking, any idea why
thank you
