Quick on pace for 18-25 games this season. I think that’s perfect for the 38 year old. My goodness is he good. Just a phenomenal goalie. Pretty cool watching Quick and Fluery play. That have very unique styles compared to the leagues goalies
Whether it's coaching from the Rangers goalie coach or a matter of Quick just maturing and correcting a flaw in his technique, he's a better goaltender now than he was in his last many years in LA. He was always too active, even when he was winning Cups. He came out too far or over-committed in situations where there were multiple threats, and the result was too many "empty net goals". Some people forget that he was benched in favor of Martin Jones in the San Jose series in their 2nd Cup run after conceding a bunch of gift goals. Now, he's staying in deep and relying on his reflexes, which have always been elite.
Well it for sure is the Rangers goalie coach. Why do you think everyone is an insane goalie for the Rangers... Raanta/Georgiev/Igor/Lundqvist and now Quick.
@@ChristianKrillzbecause the Rangers are good at evaluating goalie talent. Benoit Allaire is a good coach, one of the best goalie coaches for sure, but most people wouldn't even pick him as *the* best over someone like Mitch Korn so it's not like he's doing anything no one else can.
Igor at his best and Quick at his usual (great) is probably best goaltending tandem in league. Key to winning President's Trophy last year. Now NYR has to take next step.
I understand as well. But we both know Quickie was never going to play second fiddle for the Kings. Yeah it sucked like what Kopi and Drew said. With that being said, he is great back up for the Rangers. Which he wouldn't be for the Kings.
Shesty has his great, good, and bad days, but I think that's because he plays more frequently. I love Quick, but if he played more games he would have as many inconsistencies, like any player.

@ sure they where decent , but you put them into todays style of game they wouldn’t have had a chance , cujo was also good , but imho Johnathon quick is a stand up individual best goalie!

Shesterkins been great. The Rangers defense has been horrendous this year thats all. You're one of those guys that looks at GA without context.
