A fantastic way to open the year. Happy New Year. Very poignant tribute to Roger Moore. RIP Its great to see you return to this series. Love you videos, informative, opinionated and down right entertaining. Can’t wait for you appearance in the next Bond conference. And I cannot wait for Part 2 of this project.
Oh, I fully agree on the nonsensical mediacircus that the pressinterviews och conferences are. It's so much fluff and repetition of boring questions over and over by mostly nonfans. The pressconfernce för Skyfall had one of the more cringeworthy questions for me when a reporter from the swedish paper Aftonbladet (I'm a swede myself) asks Craig if he thinks there are any simularities between Bond and the character he played The Girl With The Dragon Tatoo, Michael Bomqvist, just because the book is swedish and she desperatly wanted a swedish connection to the movie! I mean, if I was there I would have asked questions about my speculation that the movie would take some inspiration from Fleming's The Man With The Golden Gun. The speculation revolving around the hints about a "shocking plot" being that Judi Dench's M would die and that Ralph Fiennes would play the new M and be the same M as Bernard Lee, Miles Messervy. M in the novell remarks on how his predecessor was killed in his own office. And not only did I get it very close, Fiennes became a new M, but the whole part of MI6 believing Bond to be dead, him being out of shape and being given a last chance to prove himself is in the book. These are the things that are interesting to ask about. There are still plenty of elements in the books that haven't been touched upon yet and asking about the Fleming influence can give thoughtprovolking answers for fans without spoiling anything. But the press will always be the press, they're more interested in stalking Connery to public bathrooms then anything related to filmmaking or storytelling. Connery's "gadget" sells more papers.
I can't believe how self-absorbed people are in those kinds of situations. It's like if you saw a celebrity on the street and wanted to tell them you're their "biggest fan" or ask for their autograph. How can a normal empathetic person not stop and think that maybe you're the over 9000th nobody that day approaching them and that shit might get old for them? Either way, two seconds thought should change the *way* you do it. Starting with an awareness of what they are doing, whether it's a convenient time, so whether you should even approach them at all, etc. What really bugs me is the far-too-common, "I saw [insert celebrity here] in the street, asked him for an autograph and he was a real dismissive dick to me", story. Implying that - despite their easygoing on-screen persona - they must just be an arrogant dick IRL who thinks they are better than everyone else, (and the storyteller uncovered their secret). As opposed to them just being a human being who is understandably annoyed at having his meal in a restaurant and/or private conversation interrupted by yet another ill-mannered slobbering jackass who wants something. It's really incredible how selfish that shit is too. Like when I bring up that possibility they'll say something like, "All I was asking him to do was take two seconds to sign something. I was telling him how much I loved his work. He should feel good about it, and be nice to his fans. I was doing him a favour!" Nope. That's what you *think* you would like people to do to *you* if you were famous. You can really see the same attitude with these small-time local fluff reporters too. They get all dolled up to meet the big celebrity and often try to flirt and shit. The male reporters will try to have some of the cool rub off on them or something. It's not about asking them real questions, or even helping their organisations participate in promoting the movie, it's all just about me-me-me. My chance to meet and rub elbows with the big star. Any wonder those actors get pissed off. I don't think it's just the repetitive questions, but the obvious and shallow attitudes of the people they're dealing with, and as you point out, it's impossible for viewers with a brain not to notice. I broke my arm when I was like eight years old. People would see my cast and ask me the same stupid questions as if it was any of their business or I was interested in telling the same story over and over. I was sick of it by the second time, so I kinda know dat feel bro, or at least know enough to know you couldn't pay me enough to be famous.
Promotional tours, as they turn out, are SO useless, in fact, that Naomie Harris managed to film her ENTIRE Oscar-nominated role in the Oscar-winning film "Moonlight" during a three-day weekend break in the Mexico City leg of the promotional tour for "SPECTRE". THAT's how useless they are.
Been waiting ages for this thanks for doing it,Nice tribute to Roger the awful manchester terrorist attack which is where I am from overshadowed his death
Great as usual! Been waiting for this. One thing though. I know you love making montages - and you are good at it - but sometimes they tend to go on for a little too long.
14:01 He got a big salary increase and had a certain degree of influence over the movie. His payday for Spectre was a goddamn ridiculous 37 million clams.
looking at all the 1mio views video-rubbish on youtube, it's simply not understandable, how your channel and videos don't receive more clicks/views... Production value is top notch, you're a great narrator, you know the scource material better than most of the other review jokers... I just don't get it. keep the awesome work -I honestly hope appreciation will come soon. do you have Patreon???
Skyfall is a very good execution of a dubious plot. Acting, locations and stunts are all great but half of Skyfalls plot is stolen from other movies. Bond pursues a dude on motorbike (Tomorrow Never Dies) Bond fights a dude on the top of a train (Octopussy) Bond is left for dead just before the title sequence (You Only Live Twice) MI6 is blown up in a terrorist attack (The World Is Not Enough) The villain is a former MI6-agent (GoldenEye) Than the whole structure of the movie is very similar to the structure of Batman Dark Knight. The villain (The joker/Silva) is not after the hero (Batman/Bond) but after a third party (Harvey Dent/M) and actually gets away with it (Harvey Dent turns into Twoface/M gets killed) and both villains get caught by the police somewhere along the line only to break free. After having succeeded they both get caught/killed. I´m surprised the people behind Batman Dark Knight didn´t sue the Bond producers for copy pasting.
"it was the second longest wait since the 6 year gap between Licence to Kill and GoldenEye". Oh boy, i wish the wait nowadays would only be 4 years.....the Daniel Craig era was a failure...
I've always found this movie to be kind of overrated. Not bad at all, but not worthy of as much praise as it gets. It stills runs circles around the piece of shit Spectre though.
Fantastic intro. RIP Sir Roger Moore!
Your Bond reviews are very insightful. Great video as always. Looking forward to part two!
You do the best videos on all this stuff. Keep it up.

OH SHIT SON.
WHAT A GREAT NEW YEARS GIFT. THANK YOU, GOOD SIR!

The interviews montage was hillarious

Disney is the new SPECTRE
Mickey mouse is blofeld
Brilliant start to the new year. Thank you for continuing the Bond series HaphazardStuff
Aww what a great way to kick off the new year. Great job so funny. Looking forward to part 2. :)

The press asking the questions is just painful. What a shoddy lot the press are?
i love the intro, fine tribute to my favo james bond of all time, sir roger moore, who i think will have the official record of playing james bond
Best Bond inside documentations, i have ever seen ! Gongratulations, great work :-) keep it up !
Absolutely brilliant bond reviews the best on you tube from a die hard bond fan who is hard to please
Nobody does it Better .... Baby ... You're the Best ! .... and thanks for doing what you do with my favorite spy ! .... Bond ..... James Bond .
Thanks and Happy New Year!
I cringed so hard during that interview montage, I'm pretty sure I severely sprained something.
Happy New Year, indeed! Is there a timetable on the releases of Parts II and III?
All your videos are top class. So funny and very in depth. Wonderful.
Haha great video, looking forward to part two.

Thanks, I appreciate that. No, no Patreon.

35.50.
I never get enough of watching him crack up.
Holy shit, about time!
"I believe all films will be made by one studio"
You mean the Disney Corporation??
"it was the second longest wait since the 6 year gap between Licence to Kill and GoldenEye". Oh boy, i wish the wait nowadays would only be 4 years.....the Daniel Craig era was a failure...
And now Bond 25 is without a director and screenwriter and has been delayed here we go again
holy shit m8, your content's great.
most actors hate doing the PR circuit .
Judging from that interview montage, I can see why.
Bojackhorseman has showed this with its show .
This is the same with comic con precess conferences on super hero movies
The questions asked on the press tours are so agonizing. It must be the absolute worse part of the film making process.
That Roger Moore salute hit me hard.
Where do you go to watch the livestream?
Oh my fucking god, that press junket montage was SO embarrassing to sit through. Jesus christ, it literally made my skin crawl
"friggin doppy" is an understatement...
What EON need is a writers table, have a team of writers plan out the next set of Bond movies in the future
My favourite James Bond movie :skyfall
Capitalism - the ultimate Bond villain.
By the time you make the Spectre video, that film would have been five years old.
Connery hated the fucking media when he was bond
Bro are you anti-brosnan he was a good bond man, come on..... Cut him some slack......
Brosnan is pants
Babs and Mike!
33:05 😂😂
25:45 ok that was actually funny
Jeez! on with the fucking movie critique!
I'd have to disagree. I for one liked QoS
23:03 is the best part of the video
Image the promos for 25. Having to do 3x the promotions. If I were an actor or Criag. I would demand more money for doing 3 promo tour's
I've always found this movie to be kind of overrated. Not bad at all, but not worthy of as much praise as it gets. It stills runs circles around the piece of shit Spectre though.
james bond saves the world from aliens, i'm not sure what's stupider. that? or a james bond christmas
American's pronounce Craig weird. It's not Cregg. It's Crayg
Why don't the production just post all these stupid questions right away and push it out. Then the press would have to ask different questions.
Самый лучший Джеймс Бонд, Крейг.
I find skyfall to be one of the most overrated bond movies.
12:02 well with the new bond been a woman I'm sure they will go bankruptcy
This movie was boring. I don't see why it's rated so high. The villain had mommy issues.
dalton was soulless, thats why brosnan ousted this bore out
