Im glad you enjoyed the quest helper. It is going to be updated slowly because i am indeed a one man show right now but this woman named KittieKrylx helped with some quest photo's apprethe recognition ❤
Reading trough the source code right now, ill update this if it's safe or not. Update: seems to be safe, no weird API calls and all image recognition is just dialogs, quest data is loaded locally from the web app url Some additions: 1. Runemetrics will be required to be set to public, it uses the public RS api to fetch data. 2. It doesn't work with timers but image recognition (reads the dialogs basicly)
As a single screen runescape player this does help tons and been using it on lots of quests this year! my main drawbacks is that it literally copy pastes the wiki text for steps which is fine but sometimes references wiki images that are just not there, so you end up going to the wiki anyways! either way the chat highlighter is the main star here otherwise only useful for people with 1 monitor :) regardless thank you for the app!
@@OPTechpure A void dance - No images of the barrel puzzle to reference had to pull up wiki, Hunt for Surok mini quest - missing image for route through chaos tunnels, Dishonour among thieves - the steps have nothing helping with recruiting the team it skips from the start right into the puzzles. Heck yes this is massive, me and some buddies are going to play rs3 group ironman and were super exited but were dreading having to play without all the runelite plugins, this will relieve the pain the pain a bit
A Small correction, what we mean by "Ground floor" is considered the basement hence the term "ground" as it's in the ground. The first floor is the main floor of any house and any addition to said house elevates it to the 2nd floor, 3rd floor, ect. Obviously the higher the number the higher the house.
Yeah that's what I thought haha, I think most other places say the ground floor is the main one. Since that is usually ground level, then there is either the basement down or 1st floor up.
Cool idea and hopefully helpful for some people. I couldnt see myself using it much though because quest guide videos are almost always better in my opinion, along with the fact you can just open the quests quick guide inside alt1's browser feature.... Obv can't be as powerful as the osrs version due to the limitations of alt1, but to me just watching a fraqsu video is much better (Which you can watch inside of alt1 as well if you really want...) Heck, the amount of times ive used "Picture-in-Picture" mode from youtube to place the video on top of my rs3 screen is alot.
The ground floor IS the first floor that you normally walk on when you enter a building from street (ground ) level. The next floor UP is the second floor you walk on and so on.
Happy for people who hate questing, but my experience is quests are more fun with minimal guides. Obviously, if you've been working on the same puzzle for half an hour its probably worth just looking it up, but a lot of the writing and the puzzles are fun if you can do them yourself.
ya i really started enjoying quests when i decided to do them for the adventure of them instead of just to get it done. Figuring out what to do and where to go is actually pretty rewarding, although i will revert to guides if i find myself with no clue what to do for more than 5-10 mins
I like quests enough, I just almost never have time to knock any out. Still have the porters for another week so I can't do questing because I'll feel like I'm wasting the free porters, been a week of arch, got to 111
For reference, about to get my 15 year cape, 99 gathering and support except dung. Still haven't finished plague's end, world wakes, desperate measures etc
i started osrs in april this year and i am almost done with all the quests there. I am also playing Rs3 for a couple of years, but there are still like 100 QP that i am missing. Quest helper motivates a lot to do quests and is such a QoL thing
Could be dumb but don't see this to be any different then the quick guide to a quest on the wiki with maybe the automatic tick off a step. 11:30 I get most things with the US vs everyone else but I see ground floor as an unnecessary name for the literal 1st floor you come to of a building. I maybe be dumb and not see the difference or reason.
Yes it's essentially just the quick guide from the wiki. Why it's good is because you don't have to tab out to check the quick guide if you use 1 screen.
I don't think people are allowed. It's been asked for permission and jagex have said no unfortunately. I'd love a rs3 runelite. It opens so much content too lol but oh well
It's a far cry from RuneLite's brainless system where it literally has on screen directional arrows and basically does the quest without you needing to know what is going on or what any of the steps even are... but hey, that applies to everything Alt1 related, it's severely handicapped by the fact it can't place overlays and relies entirely on text recognition software.
Sorry man. Us way makes more sense. You enter on the ground/1st floor of the building. It's the first level of the building you come across. Next floor up is 2nd floor.
@@ShroomTheRiver. I explained it and it does make sense. You enter on the ground floor which is the first floor you come across. The word ground and first floor is interchangeable and generally we don't say ground floor since it's obviously the ground floor which is the first floor you come across in the building. You can't enter in the basement and you can't enter on the next floor up above ground floor so again the first floor you come across is the ground floor hence it's called first floor. The dates go from small to big. You can only have 12 months in a year. You have far more days and limitless years. Your going small the biggest. I'm surprised you don't start your alphabets in the middle and say that makes sense too.
It's incredible somebody could plug some spaghetti that works on top of alt 1 spaghetti to make a quest helper. That's some spicy engineering right there. 20 years in the software business, would not even dared trying.
