I hope you all like this video! The footage is my own home footage over the past 15 years. The song is really intimate and raw, and I wanted to make a video that was equally so. You see me at the first days of moving to NYC in my early 20's, to where i am now... and the whole journey in between

It pays homage to both treasured and traumatic memories that have created us as we are today, and gives tribute to those whom we've held dear to our hearts and who helped us along our way. It strikes the perfect balance of the acknowledgement of one's heartache and sadness, as well as their growth and happiness, all with an emotional yet uplifting melody. This is a really GREAT video and song! As a gay big teddy bear in my mid to late 50's and growing up in the 1970's and 80's and being a gay young person and living in England Great Britain.... It was so hard... This song makes me think back... The young gay men and women are so lucky nowadays....... When I was young... You feared to mention the word gay..... It was forbiden FOR FEAR OF BEING BEAT UP!!!! Trying to find love was so hard!!! I HOPE THE YOUTH UNDERSTAND HOW DIFFICULT IS WAS!!!!

Ever since I realised I was gay I would always ask myself if a life for me was possible and for a long time there didn't seem to be much hope. This video was reccomended to me on youtube and I decided to give it a quick listen. I watched the full video and the clips of your life really touched me. My dad has cancer so I know he isn't going to have a long life. When I heard you sing about your father and how he told you live your life it gave me hope that maybe it is possible to live as a gay man.
