everything this video shows is on a very profesional and high level of the software's knowledge!The average user can't manipulate their models with such fluency! How can someone reach that in order to be competitive in todays market and have higher chance of making it into the business they want to!

I think that it is up to you. The average user won't have to be struggling with every single feature the program has. As you know and as just said, it is up to what you need and, if you find it hard to use, then I think that you should give it a try and consider that you might find most of those features really useful, if you are involved in the manufacturing area.

There's just one thing that seems to be missing. What about the simulation of how a material degrades over time (Wear & tear)?
A spring, for example, would lose it's ability to store potential energy over time and would be subject to rust or erosion.

The basic form of Solidworks is for machine designing and analysis, so it is more useful to a mechanical engineer. I have intermediate proficiency, so for me, it is pretty easy. I do not know much about Solidworks Electrical. However, my friends who have their majors in Electrical Engineering say they don't use much of this software.
