Build quality is good. I'm still getting used to it but balancing is far easier than on any of the manual weight 'Glidecam' style stabilizers I've had. No wandering off in random directions either. I was looking at the new Crane myself, but despite being more geared to Sony or Panansonic, starting video on the camera is straightforward anyway.
Hi!Is it possible to use the gimbal to zoom like Zhiyun? How is the speed of zoom.Is it possible to set the speed of zoom?I own a Sony Alpha 6500 with 16-70mm and Rode Video micro. All about 800g.The crane can't load with power the camera? Can you recommend Feiyu over Zhiyun?
It sounds really tight and I suspect you'll be really pushing the motors. With that kind of weight you'd probably be better off with the 2 handed a2000. If you get a different lens that's only marginally heavier, you've no leeway.
what camera are you using with the A1000 and how much its weight? i am consider to use it with my Nikon D5500 DSLR, will it works?? It weighted around 750grams.
I just received the a1000 and tried to balance my Panasonic G7. It weighs exactly 516g, but I couldn't get it perfectly balanced, probably because most of its weight comes from its right part (hand grip) and that it is a little big for the plate (so this is something to consider I guess, although I think most gimbals have the same room for the camera). It will stay still only with the lens facing upwards. It does work okay when the gimbal is on, but it probably is draining more battery than it should. Note that this is my first time using and balancing an electronic gimbal, so I might be able to fix the "problem" eventually.
It takes a bit of work to get it exactly right, but they've started to ship a Panasonic cable, so I'd be surprised to hear that there's an issue. They're shipping Canon cables as well and those are larger cameras.
Make sure every thing is tight as you go, or the slightest slip will unbalance it again. I've to rebalance every time I pack it as the box forces you to unscrew it.
The combined weight of the camera and lens is 780g, so under the 1Kg weight. However, is you zoom the lens after balancing, you'll need to rebalance as the lens gets longer. It's not super heavy, so the motors might compensate for it, just using more of the battery.
I'm Plannin on using it with the Sony a6300 and the 18-105 f4 coming up to 820g. Now the issue is the battery life on the sony. So everytime the battery dies.? Removing it and inserting the battery again Is gonna be a headache? Time consuming? Or maybe I'll work with a powerbank?
The cable from the powerbank will create pull on the gimbal. I've tried a quick release plate, but it made the camera to tall to balance correctly. It's pretty quick to swap out. One screw. If place it back exactly where it was, there's no need to rebalance.
Bg Kumar you might be able to use the a6500 with a battery grip which holds two batteries. Though I don't know if the gimball will take the extra bulk and weight might be worth checking out.
A friendly tip: Do the calibration before filming. Talking about it is fine but having 90% of the video consist of you fippling with the controls isnt that stimulating. Also, check your audio cutoff, you have it set too high :)
I have one too! I just needed something I could afford. Now I am one step closer to using it.
Thanks Sean
The 2018 version is working with the fujifilm XH-1 too. ;) Also a trigger cable in the box.
Good to know Edwin!
Thanks!!
great
What is the heaviest dslr camera that the a1000 can carry?
1kg for the old version, 1.7kg for the new
Great insight. I was leaning on the Zhiyun Crane but these one seems cheaper and the build quality looks good.
I'll be doing a video with it tomorrow. If it works out, I'll be posting the video here.

There's no zoom or focus control. If you need those, pay the extra for the Zhiyun.
And what do you think about the Canon 70D?
It weighs exactly 975g with LENs... :D

Thanks for answer, but I found model 2018 upgraded to 1,7g :) ...

Excellent! I'd seen that the a2000 was up to 2.5kg, but no mention of the a1000.

+Singgih Arfianto Fuji X-T2. The maximum weight of camera and lens together is around 1kg. Out right now so can’t check exact figure.

I can never get mine to work iv been going at it for 7 hours so far still can’t get it to wirk

do you think it will carry canon 700d with kitlens?

I'm planning on getting the moza air Cross. That's the best for the sony line up I feel. Solves the battery issue

Not a visual learner I guess. The whole point is that by doing the back and forth it matches what the average user will have to go through.
All of these comments that I've not been notified about. Geez.
thx for this video !!!
