I always enjoy watching him as a gentle light handed trainer who appreciates every horse he works with. Mutual respect too.
Looks like that mustang is more interested in swatting flys. But he is beautiful & very chill.
Isidro has sincerity in his voice. He's a good person and the horses trust him. He is a good trainer...And what do I know, it just seems to be so from my unprofessional observation. 🤷🏽♀️
Thank you. I learned long ago to teach them to step the front end across on the ground prior to the first mounting, but I also long rein first also. I like your explanation of your hand position when mounting. It makes a great deal of sense. My english saddles don't have your handy horn, but I can see your advantage. He looks to be an obliging horse who wants to work with you. A very nice type.
He was long-lined and ground driven for a month prior to this first ride. Was also taught to step across with rein pressure. Sometimes they still get sticky feet.
With my mare:
1. Ride: 3 steps
2. Ride: 10 steps - still in circles
3. Ride: forward, stop, turns
5. Ride: I tried to stop, walk, turn with weight and leg, barely reins…. My mustang, now I know what you want from me. 😁
I am doing this with a stiff rope halter, because I can’t get a vet for 1.5 months.
That’s how far we are.
She is since 7 weeks with me. Just amazing how great my mustang is.
You are so patient

Very nice Mustang....
Patience is a virtue! Good job with this gelding! Would love to see more of his training......I no longer have horses so Patreon is not something I would benefit from.I do miss seeing your free training videos on RUclips.
It still costs money to put free content for others to enjoy. Someone has to pay for it, whether it’s us or those who value our teaching and are willing to support us with Patreon or being a member of our training video library.
