You did it again Chris, cheered me up made me smile, every video I watch is a pleasure. Motor was worthwhile as you said, more time for fishing, can't be bad good session thanks. 👍👍👍🎣🎣🎣
Sorry to say that I have a complaint! These videos are just not long enough! Only joking, keep up the great work that you do, looking forward to your next video already!
Watched 2 guys last Saturday just sitting out where you started they where having a ball from what i could see through the bino's love it down there such a great coastline.
Chris, I live and fish the other end of the country down in Cornwall where we have much fewer cod and a bit more Pollock. I always enjoy your videos, mainly for your own enthusiasm. Keep it up mate
Thanks very much I’m glad you’re enjoying the content. We usually have fewer pollack but of a decent size up here but it’s been a quiet year so far. I’ m planning a raid over west soon to steal a few Scottish ones!👍🎣
Great watch as always mate! Was in Anglesey today, fairly new to the sport, taken on board your hints and tips and was pulling them in for fun, had a monster pollock too, PB, and of course mackies haha, keep up the content mate love it
I used to work in St Abbs and Eyemouth for 4 years and never cast a line. Moved to the Isle of Mull last year and got hooked on fishing. Got my Kayak a few months back and having great fun with some decent Pollock. If you find yourself up this way let me know and I’ll share the places I’ve had the most luck. Very much enjoying your channel mate 👍
I watched you fishing that spot, that day Chris - I’d driven down after work in North Berwick to lure fish fir a few hours from a spot under the lighthouse, and bumped into Jarrow Viking/ Dave. Had a chat with him and he mentioned that you were out. It was a tricky, windy day huh? Loved the mackerel sport - I love catching them; great fun!
Ah yes I motored over and had a chat with Dave, he’s a lovely bloke. It got a bit frisky towards the end there. A tough but fun day. I’ll be back for round two soon! 👍🎣
Yes; agreed - he’s a gent. He has taken time to explain things to me several times now, as I’m a relative newcomer to lure sea fishing. Nathan / Slippy Limpets also has been really giving of his experience and support - great lads and very knowledgable, helpful and gracious. I’m on the rocks there often or out on my yak ( newbie to it too last October) so let me know if you head up; I’d love a paddle and a lure session with someone so experienced, positive and fun.
Great vid! Think I would have had the paddle out for a bit of extra balance on the way back in!! My son was diving up there today saw a wolf fish, wouldn’t mind catching one of them! Atb Pete
Hi mate, long time listener first time caller 😬🤣 mate just a couple of easy ones for you from a fellow northerner who’s sapped the rocks for a kayak (galaxy wahoo) … 1 - where did you get your battery (the one with blue tooth) 2 - what’s the max conditions you venture out in wind and wave height 3 - what weather app do you use. Hope you’ll help Mick
Hi Mick, 1 It’s an Ultramax Bluetooth LiFePO4 100ah battery, they have an eBay shop and a website. They’re cameraexperts1 on eBay. 2 it’s not that simple really it depends which way the tide is running compared to the wind, how long from which direction etc etc but rule of thumb nothing over 10mph with a surf height of 2ft or less. 3 Windy, by far the best and the premium version is super super accurate…most of the time. Hope that helps! 👍🎣
imagine a motor with a gps interface, compensating the current or wind constantly adjusting automatically, virtual anchor or even set it to the drift you require, 💡💡💡
@@onthedropfishing well i am capable lol, i do own a few patents for satellite tracking software and hardware, a good smart phone, with a programmable Arduino linked to some good rc servos, might not be that hard
@@onthedropfishing I've just watched your unboxing video of the galaxy supernova fx. Definitely investing in one of those in the next few months. Subbed! Thank you for the reply!
Don’t forget the channel has a discount code if you do pull the trigger OTD10 at the checkout gets you a canny chunk off at Galaxy UK. Have you looked at the Sturgeon as well? They’re both great kayaks 👍🎣
@@onthedropfishing I'm in the process of designing a simple lightweigth box/chair with everything in it, hoping for sub 30 minutes from pulling up to getting wet with my sib ;)
I once travelled about 80 miles to spend a day catching cod about a mile offshore in the kayak, but wasted 5 hours mackie bashing. A complete waste of time, but great fun.
Another great video thanks Chris but isn't it strange how we "proper fishermen" hate fishing for mackerel ? Pound for pound they're probably the best fighting fish we get in the north Sea I think maybe our egos get in the way and if you don't have to be cunning and work hard to catch a fish then it's not fishing its catching I'll be going fishing for mackerel at least once this week with a friend who's just took up fishing I hate mackerel fishing (but secretly love it) Steve
Hi Chris 👍really good video always have a smile on my face after watching one 👍😎😄
Thanks very much Nigel, I’m glad you’re enjoying the channel and I’m glad we’ve got you smiling 🙂👍🎣
Pure entertainment Chris, thanks again buddy.
Cheers Phil, I’m glad you enjoyed it 👍🎣

Thank you very much Glen, it would have been a bit of a chore without the motor. I was very glad of it for the ride back in! 👍🎣
Chris a great watch that you've got more fish up there than we have in North Devon! Those macks were massive. Love the flying fish 😆
They were chunky weren’t they. They’ve all been big this year to be fair, late to arrive but big!
You forgot the put the stink on that first drop too! Brilliant pal!
To be honest I’m not sure it makes that much difference….I have bought 2 new flavours to try out tomorrow though! 🤣🎣
Who know mate haha it could do, just need to think like a fish and become the fish
Another great video
Thanks very much Derek 🎣👍

Yes just a short one this time. There’s only so many mackerel an anglers willing to admit too…🤣.
I’m glad you’re enjoying the content 👍🎣
Nice day out on the water pall ,, lots of mackerel nice ones ,, there's usually a better stamp of codling along that stretch tho,, 👍👍
Yeah it wasn’t an easy one, the wind was a pain all day pushing the kayak out to see even with the drogue 👍🎣

Yeah it’s a good bit of ground, just a bit to windy for the drift when I was there 👍🎣
Just found this channel, love these videos! Just order my first kayak
Excellent, what did you get? 👍🎣
Not much of a fisherman, myself, but really enjoy your videos, Thanks

St Abbs is on my to do list on my kayak ...I’ve fished it plenty of times on my small boat with great results . A great vid 👍
Thanks Tam, do you normally fish along the cliff or to the south of the harbour? Or both! 👍🎣
I really enjoyed the video, well done

Thanks very much Elliot, sounds like you had a cracking day. I’m just waiting for the wind then I’ll be out myself 👍🎣
Where about did you go Elliot I'm right by Anglesey 👍
Wow those mackerel they are a pain at Times however great eating
They were big old mackerel as well. If they grew a bit bigger I’d fish for them all the time! 👍🎣
@@onthedropfishing yeah it’s a shame they don’t get much bigger! You would have some scrap of a 5 pound mackerel

Great start to the day weather wise and fish straight away. Some quality mackerel there Chris. Is there a launching charge there....
Yes it’s £3 to launch. It’s such a beautiful spot

Can I ask how you fix the tool box to your rail? please
I got some knock off star mount male bits off eBay and just attached on to the bottom of the box 👍🎣

What’s your rod and reel set up Chris ?
Cheers Nathan, in this vid I’m using a 7ft Yagi Spin 15-42g plus a Mitchell MX2 2000 sized reel. Tight lines mate 👍🎣
