Thanks for the review. I appreciate the honesty when talking about price. I tend to lean on the cheaper side because I don't fish as often as I would like. So I can't justify spending extra when a cheaper one is comparable. Thanks again!!!!

If your looking for that "in between " reels, my wife uses the President XT from Pflueger and I use the Pflueger Supreme XT with flawless results. I've actually been catching Channel cat more with mine, yeah it's beyond what the reels are made for but can't always guarantee what you catch lol. Both our reels are paired with Fenwick HMG 7 medium fast rods. Her's is a 35 series reel and mine is a 40 series. We both run 20lbs braided line. Pretty heavy setup for those reels, but they actually work amazing! I absolutely love my Supreme XT!
My son just got the Supreme XT last Christmas and has only used it a few times but man it's nice you are right Charles. Are you able to cast pretty well using braid on both reels? Maybe I have cheap braid but casting seems to be an issue when I use braid. Those HMG Fenwick rods are nice. Son is a Fenwick guy. I only have the Fenwick HMX ultra-lite and the Fenwick Eagle Medium light rod. Both are nice though for sure. Thanks for watching. I appreciate it. @@fishingwithvance I started with the HMX 20 years ago and still have it with a Fenwick reel. I decided after 20 years to update to the Pflueger and the HMG. What a difference, especially after 20 years lol.
I have those Veritos rods with my Abu Garcia 7:1 and 5:4 low profile reels. They are awesome!
I really like them too. Some guys have complained about the guides breaking etc. I haven't had that happen yet. I should try the reels. I really like these Pflueger's but used to use Shimano too so.. always good to try new equipment. Thanks for watching. Fish on!
@@fishingwithvance the 2.0 versions are better rod, Abu Garcia spinners are ok, Pfluger spinners are better, going to get a 20 micro soon for Lake Erie Perch
@@fishingwithvance I have some Abu Garcia Orra low profiles $100 a piece, 7:1 for top water, 5:4 for cranking. Don't recommend Abu Garcia for spinning

Those lighter composites cost a pretty penny. I think it would be a worthwhile investment if you fish tournaments all day or something, but for my personal use I'd do fine with the cheaper one.👍💯

I had two patriarch reels and had issues with both I gave both to my son just got the President xt waiting for the temp to rise a bit so I can use it in the creek by my house in Jersey love your reviews just became a sub

Magnesium body and sideplate for $200? Daiwa can't do it for less than $500. Compared to other high end magnesium reels, $200 is a drop in the bucket. Don't get me wrong, the president is an amazing reel and mine have lasted 10+ years. But for some premium features like lightweight and titanium mainshaft? worth the premium
