On Sunday, July 8, 2018, at 3:31 a.m., officers responded to a call for a shooting at 415 Driftwood Avenue.
Officers attended the area and found one man with a gunshot wound to his upper body. He was pronounced shortly after.
He has been identified as Karim Hirani, 25, of Toronto.
One male suspect was seen leaving the area. He is described as black, approximately 20, wearing a hooded sweater, dark pants.
Homicide has taken over the investigation.

The suspect - described only as a black male in his mid-20s who was wearing a hooded sweatshirt and dark pants - then got back in his vehicle and drove off, Det.-Sgt. Mike Carbone said. He said it appears that the suspect was working alone.
Carbone added that while he doesn’t believe the victim and suspect knew each other, the killing appears to have been targeted.
“The motive for this shooting is unknown at this time and we‘re appealing to witnesses who may be able to supply us with some information,” Carbone said.

He also didn't signal when he left the parking lot. Just saying, do an extended traffic patrol in the area and pull over folks committing minor traffic violations and you'll probably, eventually have him in the system. I suspect this guy never signals, rolls through stop signs and makes illegal turns, daily. You've probably already pulled him over and issued a citation.
I do not think this is very effective. I believe they did not signal because/out of nervousness and adrenaline. If they did end up pulling over everyone they would waste a lot of valuable doing so because the city of Toronto, Is FILLED with reckless drivers. No hate tho, It's a good idea.
