  • another video as a result of pure boredom. I thought it might be interesting for some people to see how it looks inside the Hämmerli AR20 ft without having to open it.
    I made a video some time ago about the trigger but never uploaded it because it takes forever, so I just added this part to it and here it is yay
    thanx for watching and feel free to ask questions

    @TheGrahamNZ oh thanks for the nice comment! Sometimes you have a pellet that decides to tumble and fly away to the side, especially as the AR20 does not like some kinds of pellets. I use heavy copper plated pellets... they are awesome! Also, the barrel is supported inside the aluminium housing, so putting pressure on it like from the top can bend it just slightly and change the POI

    yep^^ the screw at the most front inside the trigger guard adjusts the pre tension and the next one to the left (small one next to the larger one) adjusts the trigger stop. All are accessible with the metal case on.

    Diago, the part with the ball bearing in it, the transfer port is drilled from the bottom of the breech block, the ball bearing is just to block the hole up. So dont take it out unless you have definite means to put it back in again.

    @ThePolygone awesome!
    well, the rubber ring at the barrel supports it inside the aluminium housing. Removing the cover makes the barrel be fixed at one side only and be free floating at the front. So t will change yeah. On mine it increased the accuracy^^

    @TheGrahamNZ haha awesome^^ The AR20 is really accurate, the only one problem that I have found is the not free floating barrel. So holding it differently can make a difference in POI. I removed the aluminium cover and made a wooden grip for it so the barrel floats free... now it's a dream! I might make a vid of it sometime! Comparing the AR20 to a LG110 is rather silly hehe. The LG110 is one of the best serious rifles ever, the AR20 is a fun and accurate rifle with modding potential.

    I ordered my Ar20 Today
    thanks for the nice Video
    do you have any pictures of the wooden adapter you made for the free floating Barrel?

    you wanted to know for what that ball is which is pressed into the frame, its just to seal the transfer port after it was drilled. since ther no drillbits exist which can drill l shaped holes;-)

    to be fair with you the styer is gr8 bit of kit but the price is WAY TO HIGH FOR WHAT IT ACTUALY REALLY IS i backed to backed the steyr with the ar20 the grouping was verry much the same as the steyr at 20 yards 30-40 and 50 i have found the best pellet to use out of over 20 differnt is the air arms diabolo field pellets :) i have always premotede thoes pellets and it out did any other by no competion in this gun ::) i cant wait to get it out later on tonight :):):)

    Hello
    I have a Hammerli AR20 and I do not know how to unscrew the screw to get the most out. I get only 15.49 jl with pellets 4.51 A.A
    Congratulations on your video.
    regards

    @ThePolygone oh, it's not that hard really^^ just 2 little screws on the side of the housing, 2 big ones at the bottom and the whole thing slides off. take off the scope mount with the 3 screws, the grip with the one screw from the bottom and the stock slides off to the back. then there are 4 screws holding the black housing together... then just needs some shaking and it opens eventually. Just one little part of the trigger is a bit tricky getting back together as it moves away all the time

    Hi Diago
    Thanks for the great video.
    I have a question though,,, Is it possible to increase the velocity from 557 FPS.
    Thank You

    found it and fixed it,,meny thanks... will it play around with the barrel ? i found a rubber ring at the end,,

  • @chDiago
    @chDiago  13 лет назад

    @ThePolygone the whole valve comes out??? well... then you might wanna take off the aluminium cover and screw the valves tightly into the rifle and then try to take off the air tank

    hi diago. just wondering if you've ever taken apart the piece with the ball bearing for the transfer port and copper o ring to seal the air from the hammer piston. ive had to order a brand new casing because mine broke
    thanks tonyour video ive replaced all the internals easy but can't find a way to open the bit i mentioned. any thoughts would be gratefully appreciated
    thanks.

      Hi 19sevenzero, unfortunately I never took this part apart because I have no idea how to get that ball bearing out. So I just left it rather than damage it. Maybe if you google for an assembly drawing or schematic they could be helpful. I found a few okay ones, apparently that ball is just a plug and there are some parts that go into where the valve would screw in, like that copper o ring.

      thanks for the quick response,iv'e checked the exploded parts diagram and there's no sign of the ball bearing even listed,,however the brass o ring is but no sign of how it's removed,,,the end piece of the housing looks like its not meant to come apart but I need to get the pieces out of the old and into the new,,thanks again for your response,,very much appreciated,,

    Any ideas on how to up the power of theses ar20fts I'm a liscence holder and was after a bit Moore oomph

    • @chDiago
      @chDiago  9 лет назад

      Ryan Onionsryan hmmm I'm not sure, you would have to change the pressure valve for that, if there are higher power vales available

  • @chDiago
    @chDiago  11 лет назад

    nope, it's all metal. some cast alloy

    Hey there
    I wanted to ask: whether to put maximum power I have to loosen the screw to the fullest?
    Thank you
