I think one of the reasons the hype cycle has been so bumpy on this is that AI isn’t really a single technology, but really an enhancer to many existing technologies. As such, it’s constantly being implemented in numerous areas, and evolving within them. Some of these will work out better than others, so the trajectory is different for each.
