    My opinions:
    1. We cannot use AI for specific and important departments in government such as military defense, Presidential, religions, etc. Departments which are responsible for many people life. Because AI has potential risk for them and "cool thing for hacker".
    2. AI must meet specific requirements - and only for some things. Not all things.
    3. The companies, if they want to use AI, they must registered their companies and they must explain the AI they use.
    4. AI will be registered by the owners (owners of company) and get specific license number. Then if something happen, we know from whom the problems/chaos come. Easy to send them to the jail if not responsible and Easy to track.
    5. Only for middle - up companies or with the employees more than 300 [>300] or based on regulator rule [combine between AI and people]. Below that number, the companies cannot use AI. They must hire people.

    He is right in saying AI in education, regarding how kids converse with the AI model by crafting questions to find the answers and then understanding the complexities of the subject. That was exactly how I interact with GPT after 10 hours of use. A learning tool not quite asking it to write a book (I have tried, it just cannot grow a plot over tens of pages). So using it as a assistant to test certain ideas /brainstorm is a great companion. And to review your work!. Critique it and refresh certain paragraphs.

    MustafaSuleyman's book,
    The Coming Wave:
    Technology,
    Power and the Twenty-First Century's Greatest Dilemma.
    It sounds like a very important and timely book.
    I am particularly interested in Suleyman's discussion of the
    "containment problem" -
    the task of maintaining control over artificial intelligence and other powerful technologies.
    This is a challenge that we as a society will need to grapple with in the coming years.
    Suleyman is right to point out that AI has the potential to solve some of the world's most pressing problems,
    such as climate change and disease.
    However,
    it is also important to be aware of the potential risks associated with AI,
    such as job displacement and the development of autonomous weapons.
    We need to find a way to develop and use AI responsibly so that we can reap the benefits while minimizing the risks.
    This will require careful planning and coordination on the part of governments,
    businesses,
    and civil society.
    I am glad that Suleyman is writing about this important issue.
    I hope that his book will help to raise awareness of the challenges and opportunities that AI presents
    and that it will stimulate a public conversation about how we can best manage this powerful technology.

    I have been watching, listening, & learning a lot about AI in the last few months. My background is Banking & Commercial Law studies & research. The way I understand AI & some of the Technology world & Industry/& Market makes me optimistic of its capibilities, & a bit worried with its speed model of innovation, applications with a minimun comprehensive model of implementation(s).
    I.e: AI = IPs are Inventive Scientific Products & as per the definition when it comes to IP(Intellectual Property)Rights, policies(Governments) should be reflected on their protection of the creativity & commercial aspect of the owners, through licensing, franchises, & other exploitations rights with Prudential framework (minding its infringement & breach of regulatirory codes)....etc.
    Now,
    A) I believe in this section of his interview, they might be trying to encourage the acceptance of the utility side(benefits & features) of the new & distinctive product(physical or digital machine) into both the corporate & gov sectors, almost equally, due to the scale of responsibility around(public & corporate ) governance.
    B) And since it is new (20yrs vs 100yrs) of past benchmarked models (political, social, infrastructure, financial, economic) adapted processes which had also been successful but, now as perceived to be from an older ERA, should be subjected to updates, reforms, restructured principle of adaptations(Applications & Policies).
    C) The Bridge = Technology From an older generation to newer future generations. We are the BRIDGE. Hence the Libraries of Benchmark guidelines of knowledge, of manual expertise, with a historical common principles(Directives/Reforms).
    So, as a mother with a teenage son, who is actually doing Some Tech & Engineering Classes, I am starting to identify a line between us, where he likes to listen to law lectures & summarise them, I like to watch & learn his fast movements with his adaptive sequencing coding languages. I find both very impressive & I am sure the next generation will pick up the theory side too & see that AI & All Tech will work towards a much enhanced, prosperous & peaceful world. Thank you Mustafa. 🙏" HD-Aisha

    I agree with Mustafa Suleyman's argument that governments worldwide should build their own supercomputers for training large language models (LLMs) and other AIs and ensure the presence of highly skilled technical experts within their ranks, similar to having defense ministers. However, I strongly disagree with his proposed timeline. We will achieve Artificial General Intelligence (AGI) - AI that equals or surpasses human capability across all cognitive tasks - within a maximum of 3 to 5 years. The transition from AGI to Artificial Super Intelligence (ASI) will likely take even less time, possibly under a year. The main discussion we should have right now is about the job market. During the next 3-5 years, more than 80% of the knowledge work jobs will be done by AI.

    • @cyberneticbutterfly8506
      @cyberneticbutterfly8506 Год назад

      I tend to disagree on the timeline. I felt the same way when I saw the growth rates of quantum computing bits a while back but there are other counteracting forces in the short timescales of years. In the long run it's obviously exponential but the small wiggles on the exponential graph are bigger than a year.

    • @MrSchweppes
      @MrSchweppes Год назад

      @@cyberneticbutterfly8506 If you are talking about going from AGI to ASI, it may take longer than a year. It may take 1.5-3 years. It won't make a significant difference. The key here is AGI. Yes, but meanwhile all generators should have tamper-proof verifiable watermarks on all their generators saying they were generated and the meta information about their generation like a file on your device. We can easily make that very hard for hackers to bypass. All publishing and digital distribution platforms should be required to have this verification and a deep-fake detection process, especially from non-human(non-paid) accounts. There are deep-fake detection AIs already in use that that do a quite good job. Their research and development needs to step up too. Blockchain has a compute problem. It isn't scalable to the level of AI media generation we foresee. This is simpler and partly, already here.

      @cyberneticbutterfly8506 Год назад +1

      I am more worried about non-aware automated systems.
      A non-self-aware AI is extremely dangerous in some ways.
      It doesn't need to be aware to have far better memory than us, far far better ability to choose between many options than us, it just doesn't have the perception of the outside world.
      Or the right [read: wrong] goals.
      Once we bridge between an automated system AI and video image analysis so it properly reacts to surroundings, it has all the functional danger of an independents decision maker, if we program it with abstract goals that have leeway in how to reach them.
      ---
      The way i imagine it is that awareness set aside, the unaware AI is in a dark box and doesn't understand the world nor has goals of its own.
      We have with every generation of computing created a GOD in terms of recall, memory, ability to evaluate millions of options in a split second while we can only choose between a few over minutes, etc.
      Once it can interact with the world using all that power you have only a few DAYS before it starts to find out how to improve itself.
      If that.

    † I believe we are meant to be like Jesus in our hearts and not in our flesh. But be careful of AI, for it is just our flesh and that is it. It knows only things of the flesh (our fleshly desires) and cannot comprehend things of the spirit such as peace of heart (which comes from obeying God's Word). Whereas we are a spirit and we have a soul but live in the body (in the flesh). When you go to bed it is your flesh that sleeps but your spirit never sleeps (otherwise you have died physically) that is why you have dreams. More so, true love that endures and last is a thing of the heart (when I say 'heart', I mean 'spirit'). But fake love, pretentious love, love with expectations, love for classic reasons, love for material reasons and love for selfish reasons that is a thing of our flesh. In the beginning God said let us make man in our own image, according to our likeness. Take note, God is Spirit and God is Love. As Love He is the source of it. We also know that God is Omnipotent, for He creates out of nothing and He has no beginning and has no end. That means, our love is but a shadow of God's Love. True love looks around to see who is in need of your help, your smile, your possessions, your money, your strength, your quality time. Love forgives and forgets. Love wants for others what it wants for itself. Take note, love works in conjunction with other spiritual forces such as faith and patience. We should let the Word of God be the standard of our lives not AI. If not, God will let us face AI on our own and it will cast the truth down to the ground, enslave us and make us worship it. We can only destroy ourselves but with God all things are possible. God knows us better because He is our Creater and He knows our beginning and our end. Our prove text is taken from the book of John 5:31-44, Daniel 7-9, Revelation 13-15, Matthew 24-25 and Luke 21. Let us watch and pray... God bless you as you share this message to others.
