@@xX0T1Xx Back in the '80s, you could watch a Caps game and actually see that they didn't know how to win. The score didn't matter. Watching the replays and highlights of THIS game...I'm not sure who played the Cap's role in this game. Yeah the Leafs won, but...
When the Wings scored to make it 7-3 I kinda had a bad feeling that it wasn't going to be an easy Leafs win.
To be fair to Mrazek, he sat for 2 hours then he had to go into a game where the wings were gunning to tie it. He made some nice saves on the penalty kill after Kase scored

That's honestly why I had hope as a wings fan when he came in, that is a really tough position to be thrown in
I actually think by eye test that Mrazek was the best goalie in this game, although that's not a high bar. Also it may be a bit of recency bias since Campbell mostly did do really well until the 3rd (dang-it aside)

I've been to about 40 games in my life and this was the craziest thing I've ever seen. We were down 7-2 and we Made it 7-8. At the end the leaf fans were miserable. They all expected to lose, hell i expected them to lose. I introduced my friend to hockey tonight and I couldn't have picked a better one.

I remember looking after the game knowing that Tavares didn't have a goal thinking "right but on 10 goals he at least put up some points".... wrong! 10 goal night and he had 0 points. Then I said "wouldn't it be funny if Lyubushkin had a point"... sure enough he did.

Tbh people have been too hard on JT and I'm getting a little Larry Murphy scapegoat vibe from it. Dude is clearly playing through an illness, I've watched him enough to know this isn't how he normally looks out there. Also 48 points in 51 games. He's fine. When he's healthy again he'll be fine.

I was at bowling league and keeping an eye on the game. When I left the bowling alley it was 7-2 for the Leafs. When I got home I turned the game on and somehow thought that my body had warped back to 2009 because it said 8-7.

Where to even start, I’ve never seen the Leafs score 10 goals or even all 4 goalies play. It looked like I was watching a chel game with some of those goals. I thought the 8-6 game against Carolina was crazy but this blew that out of the water. I’m concerned about our goaltending but right now I’m just enjoying the win.

I was driving Saturday evening, for fun, after a painful Capitals matinee showing and popped on the radio, and flicked thru the XM hockey channels and saw the score. 'well!! Dangle's gonna be all calm and collected for this one.'.
Going to tonight's Caps/Leafs game, and all I can think is that only a madman would dare calculate expected goals for this.
I looked down at my phone after waking up from a nap and saw the score was 7-2. Felt good. My gf who knows better says that lead isn’t safe. I laughed and brushed it off but cried internally cause I knew she was right 😭

I have said for several years, no lead is safe with the Leafs on the ice. Until the number of minutes is lower than the number of goals to tie it (assuming the goal number is more than 2), the lead is not safe. It doesn't even matter who's lead it is, it's just straight up not safe.
Just a thought, are the Leafs breaking their goalies? So when Jack was clearly the number one guy with lots of work he was solid.
