I am glad you are enjoying Queensland and you have helped others make up their minds where they would like to live . You did your homework . You just didn’t plonk yourself here in Australia , you searched for a place that you would like to live in and Queensland ticked all the boxes . Some British moved to Australia having really high expectations of it and found that they missed the UK and returned back home . They didn’t do there homework like you both did . Your family is so beautiful and wish you all the best here in Australia .
Sshh don't tell everyone they will all want to come here. Let em go to Victoria or NSW, they will think that have won the jackpot and we can keep our little slice of heaven. Queensland born and raised, I bleed maroon, but have lived in other parts of the world and travel a lot but always so glad to come home, glad it has become yours too.
I moved here in '77. Queensland was basically prehistoric then 🤣. I backpacked throughout Queensland then. I was even offered a nursing job in outback Queensland. Too rural for me. I got a job in Victoria and they paid my airfare...so free Pome. Met Aussie bloke...never looked back. Might have stayed in Queensland if it had been like it is now. Beautiful state.
Just got my spousal PR visa and moving over to QLD with my partner from Canada this year. It sounds like you ended up in the gold coast area? We are thinking the same. What area did you end up in, or can you suggest some? Thanks!
Congratulations! That's wonderful! We are in the Sunny Coast. We also love the Gold Coast too, and would be happy living in either place. The Gold Coast is the livelier of the two areas ❤️
Did you struggle with childcare when you first moved with not knowing anyone? Looking to move out there soon with our 11 and 5 year old and the one thing that puts us off is not having anyone to help with the school runs etc. Love your videos!
Yes, we did! To be honest that is something I had forgotten about! But it did give us a bit of a headache to begin with. We ended up getting a demi-pair. So we spoke with a local English college, and they had students that would provide 20 hours of childcare in return for a room. The hours suited us at the time, but there is always the option for an au pair too ❤️. If it is just for the school runs, you could always pay another Mum to collect, or take it in turns with someone in the same situation x
I think any visa apart from the working holiday visa allow you to bring your dependent children. Double check this with a MARA registered emigration agent though. Our temp visa took around 6 weeks to come through, our pr took around 10 months (that was 5 years ago). You can check current visa processing times on the immi website 🇦🇺
@@TheBAMFamalam thanks for replying do you mind me asking how your children found the transition and how they got on in schools etc we have two and it's a big thing in deciding whether to take the risk

You do realize, don't you, that Perth has the best weather of any major city in Australia? Hahaha! Perth is a great city, and WA has so much to explore. I've lived in WA, it's amazing. Cyclones occur further north. We can get some pretty bad storms here in the south east, but there hasn’t been a cyclone down near Brisbane for like a hundred years, it just doesn’t happen.
