    I love the 300S. I have one as well. I'd love to convert it to a Hellcat!
    I'm kind of surprised that you had to completely replace the cabin wiring harness. Allot of work, but it will be so worth it!

      Without being there it is extremely hard to diagnose, could be anything.

    Who did you ship the modules down to to get programmed to the car?

  • @SoulBoxer
    @SoulBoxer 4 года назад +1

    Why did you swap out the body harness? So you could use the adjustable shocks? I'm thinking you can make the engine work with the stock ECU with just an unlocked PCM. This got messy real quick.

    • @boost_kingz
      @boost_kingz  4 года назад

      That factory 300 harness was not going to work for multiple reasons.
      First off there are two "fuel" pumps in the hellcat and the 300 only had 1. So I needed the new harness to accommodate both pumps with 1 plug for each. Second the trunk area needed a fuel pump control module which the 300 didnt have. Third, the active dampening suspension is in the trunk as well and the hellcat body harness accommodates that as well. Also the wiring for the active exhaust and rear shocks all plug into the harness under the car on the hellcat body harness.
      The 300 harness simply would not work with all these hellcat standard features.

      @@boost_kingz I understand and thank you for posting and the response. I'm about to launch into the same project so any other advice would be appreciated. I'm not using HC active shocks or the exhaust. I thought the 6.2L motors used a single Walbro pump? I'm still researching but did you rule out installing an aftermarket pump kit with a new fuel control module and custom Y harness?

    • @SoulBoxer

      @@boost_kingz What I meant was since the LX cars use a saddle style tank, don't they all have a secondary pump that feeds the primary on the driver's side?

    • @boost_kingz
      @boost_kingz  4 года назад

      @@SoulBoxer From what I could tell they do all have a saddle style tank with a pump on each side, the hellcat for some reason is different and has to have a wiring harness for each. I used the oem 300 fuel tank and just put the hellcat components in it as you could see in the video I did about it. As to why it has a secondary harness going to it, I truly dont know a or have an answer for you.

    • @boost_kingz
      @boost_kingz  4 года назад +1

      @@SoulBoxer I did consider using just the upgraded walbro pump, in fact I originally just bought the oem hellcat fuel pump assembly and was going to try to use just that, but I just wanted everything to be as original and plug and play as possible. The 300 also didnt come with a fuel pump control module in the trunk from what I was told. I got a module and will be installing it into the hellcat wiring harness in the trunk in the next video. It just plugs right in and mounts to the sheet metal in the trunk on the passenger side.
      I mailed out the pcm bcm and other components to be programmed today, so the car should hopefully be starting in the next week or 2 when I get them back.

      A lot of alter alternative wiring.
      Carbon harness.
      Dash harness
      Headlight harness

  • @TheReozilla

    Dang that was crazy, but cool. So question, was all that harder than taking out that gas pedal plug from the cabin to headlight harness?

    • @boost_kingz
      @boost_kingz  4 года назад +1

      Yes the cabin harness was more tasking than the headlight harness.

      Boost Kingz lol makes sense, I can’t wait till you are done wit that 300 from hell lol. I also am doing something similar, not as unique as your built, but something cool, instead, the hellcat engine is going in my 392 challenger. And I just realized that, I also need a cabin harness lol. And if you are curious, I have an Instagram, the name is fallen angle 376, the picture I have up is a dark blue challenger. But look forward to seeing that 300 hellcat running.

      The car is being a real pain, I thought that once I installed the pcm and bcm and rf hub and got the wiring done it would have turned over. No luck, gotta keep trying! Cant wait to see your build complete!

      Let me get this straight. When the time comes, when you have to hook up a diagnostic tool to that car, the tool’s gonna think that the 300 is a Hellcat Challenger right???

    • @boost_kingz

      You have to de pin and use the oem 300 plugs and use a test light to determine which wire goes where on the tail light and head light harnesses.
