- Part3. While in Boracay celebrating my Dragon Boat Teams victory, I suffered an unexpected twist of events. My friend and I both had our phones stolen out of our purse while wearing them. I then later had all my information hacked and they stole all my money out of my gcash account. I even sent them a message and was communicating with the stealer to try to negotiate a way to get the phones back. Watch this video to see exactly what happened, and the even more difficult journey of recovering everything. Lesson learned to be more careful and aware of my surroundings!

A stolen phone owned by anybody is always a black-eye to Boracay. Bringing color or tribal connotations to this discussion is ignorant bigotry and racist. Worse, you put in the same balance the phone and the tribal situation which are totally different and belong to different discussions.
As a Filipino, I believe it is fair for me to demand an apology to both the Ati tribe and the owner of stolen phone.

My girlfriend (we both filipino) was heldup last april 17, at gun point. The robber got her company laptop and wallet with ids. Thankfully she was safe. Crazy part was the robber fired a shot as a warning that got her traumatized.but shes ok now. Youll recover soon and stay vigilant always.

Sorry you were robbed. I hope whoever they are they get caught asap. Here in the US is much worse.as you probably heard. Too many crimes, businesses getting robbed, getting killed. We have to always be cautious when we leave our home or getting out of the car. I was robbed before too, a woman stole my wallet with my ID, credit cards at my job. of course she used one of them, money and my photos that were so precious to me, I can never replace them. I was devastated.
Barbie, keep all ur belongings close to you at all times. Don't easily trust anyone. Carry a shoulder bag to carry all ur valuables. Even close friends can't be trusted. Watch what you eat & drink. Stay away from clubs. No alcohol.

Tourists are easy targets... in Europe had my car, wallet, jacket, camera, musical gear while performing on stage...all stolen, I just don't have much now... I love Phillipines but can't be too careful there...

Tourists lost of all kinds of things in Boracay. I remember tourists lost all belongings including clothing they wore by the beach. Boracay has had been that way, all sorts of people the good the bad the ugly. It is also known in Boracay, prostitutes from all over the world go there because it is such a touristy and party place.

To be honest, you need to be more aware of your belongings when going around. Any where in the world has pick pockets and thieves. Crimes happen everywhere. I live in Canada and my car was broken into. They took away my wife's purse with her cellphone and credit cards. It's worst in Toronto. Police advise residents to put their car keys/fobs outside their houses for the carnappers to take without breaking into their houses.
