In this excerpt, the mysterious figure who took Dessel out of the pit is a Sith, Lord Kopez, an orange Twi'lek. He has an offer to Dessel. Sensing Dessel is strong in the Force, Kopez offers Dessel the path of the Sith. Dessel accepts and picks the name that gave him pain, the name his father gave him, "Bane."

Yes the bane of the Sith indeed he made them better than before and eventually they conquered the galaxy
Yep yep the rule of 2 was flawed in some expects but still it was a genius system put into place for the survival and eventual triumph of the sith!

Notice how they let him choose his name. It is his destiny, his new life. The later generations lost that. I wonder if it started with Tenebrous. Tenebrous never wanted a true apprentice, merely someone he could possess until the chosen one came. Plagueis ignorant of this passed this down to Sidious, Sidious to Vader. With that I feel the Sith lost something. By naming them, in a sense you own them. Much more impactful to set your life aside and begin anew.

Crazy how Bane goes from being a loser in the acedemy to an absolute menace come the end. Hopefully under some different leadership they can make a tv show for the bane trilogy

@@Scottadamsfan3481 after he has is revelations with his dad he kind of becomes a reject and for all intents and purposes, a loser. Nobody gives him the time of day, his force capability is capped, and if not for githany trying to use him he probably would’ve stayed that way
