The Sawtooths are amazing! I'm hoping in a few years this will be a good peak for me, my wife, and our kids to summit! Awesome video man. Great camera work and way to tell the story of the day through the imagery.
Thanks Travis! Yeah, this would make for a good family hike. Only low-end scrambling on the ridge. Primarily just regular trail! Trekking poles would be good for the descent!
Great video! We climbed Norton last year, it’s pretty enjoyable and easy for an Idaho 10er. One little correction though… while it is in the Sawtooth National Forest, Norton is the 3rd highest peak in the Smoky Mountain Range, not the Sawtooth Range.
Just watched the first couple of minutes so far, DANG I thought I was watching a movie. Great job on the camera work, and editing. Now I'm going to finish the movie, I mean video haha.
Awesome. I planned on doing a couple 14ers over the summer, but...covid😑 maybe next summer. You're lucky to live in a place so close to all that beauty and nature.
Thanks Chris! I actually think I like making hiking videos better than mountain biking, ha! I just feel like it's easier to mix up the shots and get something better.
Camera work and editing are getting better every vid. Some of the the shots were beautiful. Great scenery.....significant upgrade from the scrub we have in DFW
@@CrashyMcSquirrel no worries, I'll just take a trip down to St. George or Vegas! I'm actually gonna try some winter sports this year, too. And, the ski bike!
Still an awesome view even with the smoke....a 2-3 mph pace when hiking is pretty good, with a full backpack you're going to be a bit slower, especially when ascending.
So first things first, epic video. Also...when are you going to announce you're quitting your PA job to do this full time? Your video skills have grown so much since you moved from DFW 👍

Wow Matt that was awesome! Outstanding camera work and editing. I absolutely love it.
Thanks Mark! Glad you enjoyed it!

I don't even remember saying that or where I read that, lol!
@@huntstyle the title of the video says Sawtooth Peak… but it’s not.
Those drone shots were so nice!
Thanks Monica!

Thanks, what a great compliment!

Yes, for sure! More up my alley than Dallas, though I do like things about the city life, too.
Wow man that was epic! Great job👍
Thank you!
Beautifully shot! Your videos are always great looking but this one was like watching a high budget nature documentary lol.

So sic! Awesome job
Thanks Mike!

This video is a work of art 🎨!
Wow, thanks Yaron!

Thank you! And to think, a lot of people looked at me like I was crazy when I said I'm moving to Idaho, haha!
@@huntstyle Yeah but I'll think about you this january when i have to wait until noon for it to hit 50F at knob hill. :)

OUTSTANDING!!!
Thank you!

Coming back down was tough, too. Steep and all loose gravel!
Great intro- music makes it feel wilderness-y and empty/open. What did total elevation gain end as?
2,800 feet!
Hey I just drove past this yesterday, does that count for anything?! Awesome video man, spectacular footage!
It's a great view from the road, too!
bring your own bike next time! 😁😁You did a great job!
Haha, you CAN bike this trail, but it would be difficult, especially to climb it! It would mostly be hike-a-bike anyway!
So first things first, epic video. Also...when are you going to announce you're quitting your PA job to do this full time? Your video skills have grown so much since you moved from DFW 👍
Thanks! But $200/mo won't pay the bills, haha!
