The more I use watercolors, the more I get used to certain colors. One color I've always avoided (for no good reason, really) is a bright, opera rose! That neon pink has always scared me a little bit, so let's play with it today. :]

It’s so cool seeing how artists use bright colors. Personally, I work heavily with hot pink, so it’s cool to see how others work with it. It’s a powerful color.
I love how you created so much emotion and even depth with such simple brush strokes
I’m always amused whenever people say they don’t want to use vibrant paints. Y’all just give them to me, I live for vibrant art 💖
I absolutely love this combination of colors, it's such a peaceful and calming palette that has a fairytale feel to it. Your painting was able to capture the feeling of the colors beautifully!
your videos always are a comfort place for me..
I've been having a not good time lately, but watching this gave me a warm, fuzzy feeling of "everything will be okay"
Thank you
Holbien has an amazing Opera Pink. Its soooo bright 😻
Beautiful starting palette. That pink really makes the yellow and turquoise appear more intense than they normally are.
That's neon colors makes me so scratching in my eyes . So beautiful so lovely . Ill using it alot my more activation art. Thanks for sharing
The combination of colours you used here was gorgeous!!!
That neon pink isn't my favourite colour, either, mostly because of the fading issues. But those mixes, especially those with the teal/turquoise colours look glorious 🥰
I saw the Opera in the thumbnail and immediately clicked!
This one reminds me of Agnes Cecile's floral portraits. So pretty!
Ohhh i just love seeing you upload
AMAZING TIMING I just popped on your channel to pick a vid to drink my coffee to!
Back to watch again with another coffee, still just as delightful.
I painted a unicorn a while ago from the mixes with an opera rose color and a color similar to the mineral green you have and I was stunned that you can get magentas, purples, and blues from pink & green!!!!
I love all the mixes you can get with opera, and even though it's not a granulating color it separates in mixes in a really interesting way. Loved this palette and your piece ♥️
Such a nice video Arleesha!I can't believe you discarded opera rose!! It's one of my favorites. Also for mixing, it makes the most beautiful violets and oranges
I don't think I've ever been this early!
But wow, that bright pink is such a beautiful color, the 4 colors gives this "comfy spring" vibe and I love it!
I love watching and rewatching your videos!
1:53 i saw how the paint reacted and my brain screamed ‘finger print!!😭’ anyway i go back to my watching, checking back with my opinion later
Other wise the swatching are always ✨satisfying✨
the opera rose + yellow mixes speak to my soul honestly
i love the texture of the colors! I love how colorful those ears are 😌♥️
5:43 your brush strokes with the calligraphy brush truly>>>> superior and satisfying and loose and beautiful
7:20 THIS PEACHY COLOR OMG I LOVE IT
That video was so beautiful and so relaxing
Your art is beautiful. And i love it so much and in a way so different from what i personally want to achieve (i’m all about the strict control of water and line art and very little looseness) which helps me see it without any envy and truly for what it is, idk if that makes sense? I’m just really enthusiastic about it 🥰
I have a couple of opera roses and usually just use it for blush and flowers but seeing these mixes, i can't wait to try mixing it. Great idea!
Love it! Haven’t seen the Paul Rubens set being used in a while. I’m guessing it still doesn’t glow in the dark 😊
A new video from arleebean! My day is made!
i love the range of purples in this!! they're so magical
yess i love your color palette videos!
this was such a cool edition to the limited palette series because it is so similar to the palette I use. i tend to rely on pink, bluish greens, and dusty blue violets, so it was fascinating seeing you put your own spin on these colors. It's really interesting because i work digitally, but use a lot of dusty blue violets like the ones you mixed and never realized that that color can come from a mix of teal and pink.
I absolutely love your art style. I binge your videos sometimes to help me sleep. Beautiful work.
One of the coolest things I’ve seen all day. Thanks so much for sharing.
I ABSOLUTELY LOVE THIS PAINTING! Lovely! 😍✨
watching you make marks on the paper creates this itch in me to do it myself. :) Sadly, I am quite busy. Soon I'll make the time to paint again though! soon...
I had a stressful day at work, and this video is exactly what I needed when I got home! I love this color palette!
This is such a beautiful combination of colours, and a really stunning painting!
This is absolutely stunning. The pink and yellow swatches at the beginning remind me of sunsets
Ahhh I really always feel calm and creative when i watch your videos, which is a uncommon but very welcomed feeling
Oh this video was absolutely lovely. Thank you as always. Some of the plants also look like little veins ❤️❤️
This is really one of my favorites by you.... just beautiful!!!!!! Love it!!!!
Ahhh that pallet is so pretty :D I hope you enjoyed using it ^^
Thank you for coming back!
Opera rose is one of my go-to colors for all my palettes because of those gorgeous moody purples. Love this piece! Heading over to buy a print asap!
the color combination is mesmerizing aaaa love the warm background sm !!
The way you painted the ears looks so cool! It’s like a mini sunset in there
The colors feel so calming 🥲
I dislike opera pink so much. Burns my eyes, however the way you used it is just spectacular. Maybe I should leave my prejudice against neon pink behind and try some new combinations🎨
I LOVE this one!!! The mood and atmosphere
Just so Beautiful & Stunning!!
Soon, once I have the money I plan on buying this and some other stuff from your shop! Even though your art is very very different from my comfort zone you are probably in my top ten living artists!
I think this is one of my favourite pieces of yours! 🥺It’s so pretty! I love the teal and that coral looking pink or red💕
This is so delicate and pure.
This color palette is gorgeous, I think this is my favorite limited color palette vid so far!! 💕
I really love my small paul rubens set, I think I'm gonna buy myself these for my birthday I'm convinced
My Guinea pig adores your videos, ive never seen him so calm while watching RUclips (yes he watches RUclips with me)
Yessss, I LOVE these colors so much 💖🧡💚
I loved your paintings. I always learn so much from your insights.
Absolutely gorgeous piece!
that's so gorgeous omo. such a treat to watch with❤️
absolutely beautiful im in love with this so much. you have so much talent i cant express hoe much i love your work!!!!!
Love love love the colors. I use watercolor pens and tbh its so fun to desaturate colors..
My favorite series that anyone has ever done on this site ever. ❤️
This is amazing, as is all your work! As soon as I finished the video, I ordered the print.
its is a very pretty, delicate looking palette. the piece works really well with the colours 😀
I love your painting and your these series inspire me to sketch and try new colour combinations
I adore this piece!!!
This turned out so beautiful! I really love the granulation effect in the mixes, and the contrast of the background colour and the paleness of the figure. Lovely video as always!
I have Opera Rose on my pallette now, too! I wanted to achieve a kinda glowing yellow color, was dissatisfied with my trials and then thought to use the Opera I got as part of a Daniel Smith set for mixing :D
The porcelain Paul Rubens palette is so gorgeous ugh!
This art piece is so gorgeous. The colors are beautiful 😍❤️
i have just bought the opera box.. oh my very vibrant colours.. first time using rubens.
Stunning
I may or may not use daniel smith’s opera pink in everything lol love how this piece turned out!
Also love your art, so calming
Ahh, this is so beautiful I could cry! Amazing piece.
This was so beautiful, so much emotion and the music went so well
Really love this one Arleesha, I’m excited for you to keep exploring this direction too!
This painting is so wonderful! I love how you painted the ears and the finer loose flower shapes! :)
That deep turquoise is literally my favorite color ever
I always have trouble painting mixing colors that are very opaque. I applaud you for that skill. 👏👏 I also love the way you combined flora and fauna 😭❤️🍃
3rd Comment 🤯 Almost made it!!! Great video!!!! Those colors are beautiful!!!
ohmygod your art😍😍😍
Nice painting. Big like for you dear friend 😍❤
I just had a go at this, using similar colours and a different photo reference (still a bald guy). I had lunch ads of fun doing the swatching and the portrait. Thank you so much! I name checked you on my Instagram
Very nice!
Good job 👍
I love your style so much ,its just so loose and I really would love to be able to paint portraits but I'm a landscape artist and portraits kind of scare me . The panting part doesn't scare me ,its the sketching out and planning that I'm worried about . I also can never get the proportions right :|
Amazing 👍
Keep coming back to this one... (And other of yours 😂)
I love opera pink... but it's SOOOO fugitive! I'm always afraid to use it in anything I want to keep...
NOTIF SQUADDD💖👄💖
What paper did you use for your swatches and final piece? They look so lovely
Hi Arleesha, I have a question regarding the Paul Rubins watercolor paper. Do you prefer the hot pressed over their cold pressed? The only hot pressed I've tried use Arches and I don't care for it.
She’s using the Canson Moulin du Roy hot press paper in this piece, which she’s raved about before
Hey there, what is the brush you use at 8:46 please?
"Peach Light"!? If i see a peach with that color i will never eat it hihihi.
Holy cow you charge allot considering the painting of it is monetized for life. This painting paid for itself 1000 fold plus. I could see charging that much for an original which didn't generate wealth inactively forever through af revenue and RUclips chaching.
So ok, 15k views times. 003 per click, not counting as revenue just from clicks alone that's .450. Add ad revenue plus the $250. Not to mention the patreon. Geez that's awesome!!!! You go girl. Good for you
RUclips: no views 1 like (me according to youtube) 3 coments
Me: what-
I saw no views, no comments and 2 likes (I was apparently third)
oh i see some Kris Knight in there:D
Oh yeah, and it seems Opera Pink has a different pigment number from every manufacturer, which is odd.
That moment when you actually recognize the music, probably from another Arlee video 😏
I think that so many paints that were Taboo because they simply did not last are becoming more widely used, Mainly because videos are the main source of the art form. They do not expect their paintings to last in any psychical form so it does not matter if they fade in a few months, years or whatever. I also see scanning as a form of preservation. You scan your artwork and it is frozen in time and space. You want a new "fresh" copy? Reprint it on new stock. If you have a computer and are able to print your files you can create works that will last as long you can access the computer! A Slideshow of paintings is another way of looking at artworks!
I would make one further comment, I want to have something that I can hold in my hands and see it in my psychical space to feel the artwork and know the feelings it creates in me as I hold it view it and experience it.
I don't know why but this painting reminds me of Wonho lol
Make a video 4 me without face r cover the face plzzzzzz
😮😐😯
Wow!! This is my favorite piece you’ve ever done! These colors are just amazing!! You did such a lovely job neutralizing the bright colors to highlight the bright ... OMGGG
