Fire Emblem 11 - Shadow Dragon)
If you only know Fire Emblem 11 - Shadow Dragon you will notice some differences as Nintendo changed a few things.
Plot Summary:
Prince Mars, heir to the throne of Aritia, has fled his homeland and the invaders bent on conquering the entire continent. Together with the Aritian Knights he hides and bides his time in the friendly island kingdom of Talus. Though criticized for constantly daydreaming or being in a bad mood, he has found a friend in Sheida, the princess of Talus. Together they indulge in hayrides and shopping trips, or just standing upon the parapet and looking out over the land. However, despite how pleasant life is, he cannot forget the circumstances that separated him from his land and forced his beloved sister to sacrifice herself for him.

Has anybody ever attempted to continue/recreate the series? Fire Emblem NEEDS to be an anime! I would become an animator just to do this.

Well, it would have different voice actors to fit the roles. But yeah, any Fire Emblem world would be amazing all the same.

They would've continued this series, but the reception of it back when it initially came out wasn't good enough, and Nintendo feared they'd be losing money if they continued. So the project was scrapped early on. I imagine the writers had more episodes planned out, but they never got the chance to be released.
:'( when i was a kid i always wanted to know what happened next. but i have shadow dragon now.. and i feel i completed the biggest mystery of my childhood. :)

Pretty damn good I just wish there were more episodes. With Fire Emblem's increased popularity you'd think they'd release more episodes.

Fire Emblem came out in 1997 with just these 2 OAVs. I was pretty excited about it and actually wrote ADV films - the company that adapted the Japanese version (subtitling & dubbing) and asked them when additional films would be released. They told me that the OAVs were only a pilot and due to lack of enthusiasm within the Japanese market, it never took off and none were ever made. Oddly enough, Final Fantasy, Dragon's Quest, Fire Emblem and the 'Tales of' series are some of the biggest JRPG franchises.
Eddie Lee that is not "odd" since every single big series has to have a tiny start, even Pokémon was supposed to only have two generations, but due to popular demand they produced generation 3 and beyond. Also I googled OVAs and Wikipedia states that OVA are high quality shows that equal to theatrical release products. So, one episode is expensive to produce. And I think, Nintendo doesn't want to spend a lot of money on a protect that isn't popular enough to make a profit on making these types of shows. But I've heard that Nintendo does have interesting in making anime of their popular franchises, so maybe they will restart this series and finish it.
In Fire Emblem games the Armour and General-class units have such huge shields, its pretty common.. ;-)

OVA (or OAV) stands for Original video animation.
You can compare it to a pilot of a TV series. They often release this (a single eps or a mni series) in japan to see if its worth to make a full series or to cancel it.
i love how in both these eps marth didnt really stand out in the fighting n even lost to the first boss in the game... i guess he was playing 5 star difficulty :D ogma n navarre are outstaging him
Shadow Dragon needs a continuation of this anime.
Gaiden/Shadows of Valentia DEFINITELY needs an anime.

I'm going to assume you haven't researched, and said characters are in different Fire Emblem sources. Ike is from Path of Radiance (and some other games), while Roy was from a Japanese-exclusive GBA game that takes place after the American Fire Emblem game for the GBA, but was made and released before it. Hope that helps.
They really should make more episodes of ALL FIRE EMBLEM GAMES.

Perhaps they should make a show about Elincia's son uniting Tellius with an unknown continent with the help of a laguz from a new tribe.
I'm sad we'll never see Merric :( even though the voice acting is terrible, I can't complain much because it's old. I wish they had made a completed anime.
I was dreading the thought of a Fire Emblem anime, now it doesn't seem so bad. In fact, I kind of liked it. o_o

@SaiNORaito24 Actually, Frey was not in the original game. He was made up for Shadow Dragon, and therefore doesn't exist in this OAV.
To bad this only went two episodes long :'D I liked it...oh well *goes tp play her game to find out more*
@xsonicsd if they dont continue it, i will. but il have to start everything over though. including those 2 episodes. everything will happen the same, but the animation and drawings and all that will be very different, including the voice actors. though il try my best to keep the same concept, but il go alittle further back in the story. if anyone has any constructive critisism for me, then just say it.

This series was made to coincide with Fire Emblem 3: Mystery of the Emblem which was a remake of Fire Emblem Shadow Dragon with the continued story of The Mystery of the Emblem (hence as to why Sheeda claimed to have sword lessons in ep one, as in FE3 she could dismount her Pegasus and fight with a sword.)
@Flyleaf890 In the fire emblem wiki i found out the 2 episodes were in fact put on VHS in the U.S by a different company so yeah dude :D.

OAV is the older term, but i stick to this one.

Its an OAV from 1996 which only had 2 episodes. And its unlikely to be continued.

So who do you think is better? Ogma or Navarre? You know Navarre use to be a Mercenary before the Myrmidon class was created.

I can't tell if the series was supposed to end here or not... While it obviously didn't conclude the events of Shadow Dragon, maybe just the fact that anybody can finish this story is enough of a series.

Okay I like to wtf the fact that they are using gold and silver sticks instead of the traditional fire emblem coins that have ALL WAYS been in this series.
The show ended right when they were getting to the exciting part.

+Dang Pham this was a direct translation from their Japanese name, since fire emblem wasn't even localized in America yet. There are much more name changes than just marth's name. Ogma is Ogama. Caeda is shiida, etc

I'm pretty sure if they did make an anime of zelda based of the manga, it would be pretty popular seeing that Zelda has a strong fanbase including myself i'm a huge zelda fan and would love to see something like that.

instead of a anime TV show they should make a Fire Emblem anime movie! FE is popular enough to have it's own movie, plus FE is one of nintendo's best selling games, FE even beats MegaMan, and rivals games like Zelda.
