Gary Moore was the greatest guitarist to walk this earth, so nice to see his son following in his footsteps and playing the guitar also. What a nice little treat having Jack come on and talk about his dad, thanks Andertons!
I agree he could make the guitar sing and cry.
His dad's my hero! :-)
Gary was awesome, amazing player & my all time favorite, he is truly missed.
Bad enough to lose your Dad far too early and harder still shaking of the ”son of Gary Moore” tag when it comes to music & playing. He seens a good Lad & wish him all the best. He should be chuffed his Father was such an inspiration to musicians & music lovers the world over.
Capitain Meets Pete Honoré.....COME ON !!!! COME ON !!!!
You're never too old to learn how to play guitar !
So cool to see Jack here!
Chip of the old block for sure ...three finger lead runs just like this dad- Great stuff
I really enjoy these interviews. Thanks Mr A.
Hey Lee, Just got back off tour and seen this. Great video, thank you so much for doing this. Glad i had a small part to play in this coming together. Awesome work.
The Captain Meets David Brent would be awesome
Best idea ever
Yes!!! 20 min Free love highway solo
That would be freat
Nice to see Gary's son playing Anderson having him in your dad was one of the best mate he will always be remembered as one of the greatest guitar players who ever lived rip gaz
Awesome video,thanks for sharing!
Liked this video, Jack comes across as a nice guy and a good player! Gary was my first gig in a small venue on the last date of the back to the blues tour so was spoiled to see Gary close up. The sound and the physical feeling of the Marshall amps rumbling through my chest and bones will be a memory I'll gladly keep for the rest of my days! I remember the crowd kept calling Gary & the band back at the end of the show to play some more that it got to point where Gary said "what do you want?" everyone wanted Parisian Walkways. So they played it and then finally let Gary & the guys go! Best wishes & luck to Jack & his band!
This is awesome
Jack's left-hand technique is very interesting. I never really saw him use his 4th finger, just the first three. Great interview Lee, Jack is a laid back guy, great sense of humor. That Firebird took my breath, though - mini humbuckers are definitey in my future!
I'm slowly falling in love with that Monterey strat...
I like it very much, but (speaking esthetics) I can't really put my finger on why that is.
Williethekid Productions well, ease it in slowly for Peter sake
CoDMW2freakNL while typing aesthetics
Jill Mayer I'm from the Netherlands, English is not my first language... so I made a typo, so what? Are you going to cry now?!
CoDMW2freakNL if you're from the nether regions you should make sure to wash up before touching your keyboard, especially if you're putting your finger on it
Jesus Captains playing this video was bloody brilliant! Good Job mate!
Amazing video, definitely gonna check out Jack's stuff. Can you do Captain meets Joanne Shaw Taylor. It's great seeing young British artists on here. Keep an coming
Bout ye Jack! Loved GM back in the day and Dirty Fingers made me get into guitar. :) good luck with your music. To all the people complaining about the ‘like’ thing.... it’s Northern Irish - know what I mean like?!
this guy is great!!!!good luck Jack!!!!!
For all those bagging this young guitar player; he may be no better than some of you, and Lee could interview you on that basis, but what would the point of interest be? At least he has a back story interesting to guitarists. That doesn’t mean he has to be accepted as a mega player, but he’s not falling to far from the tree, so that’s good to see.
fossilmatic a good human, bloody rare at andertons threads
I think Jack Moore is a great guitarist, he doesn't Have that fire from Gary, but he's pretty damn good... But he doesn't want to be his dad, so i think he's doing Just fine
That new Bonamassa amp i believe is a high powered tweed twin. I can't wait to try one out!
I guess I'm one of those %3 here, and YEH, you're dam right. I'm a Liverpool supporter. Happy to know my favorite guitar player's son is a Liverpool fan too. YNWA
fun to watch the captain concentrating so intently then Jack just ripping it and not even looking at the fret board lol
Always interesting to hear your interviews Captain. Could we have the Captain meets 'The Captain' ( Sensible ) please.
Kip Winger in Whitesnake? Think you mean Reb Beach who actually played for Kip Winger.
4 minutes into the video I don’t care if Jack Moore is an accomplished guitarist or not...He’s a Reds supporter. Good enough for me.
Someones been practicing )) good work Lee !!
Captain meets Plini! That would be a fun one!
Gary was the best 🙏🎼
Hey Anderton's can you balance the volume between the spoken and playing portions in future videos please. Love your work :)
I think Bea does most of these audio mixing, could be rory too idk, but it is definitely hard work. Bea talks about it in some of his vids.
Yeah, I had to crank it during the chat, and BOOM GUITAR PLAYING. A better balance between voiceover and playing would be much appreciated in the future :)
Yeah, I was going to comment the same thing. The production values are amazing for a youtube channel but it could do with ironing out the sound levels just a little.
It seems to be some unwritten law that guitar channels have VERY loud intro music also. Far from just Anderton's guilty of this one!
Pretty easy to move a volume fader or draw a level in a DAW. PS: Jack has some good music. Nice guy too.
I saw Gary on the Wild Frontier tour back in about 1990. I have also seen Gary's brother play in a band and he is decent player.
Richard Huckle Wild Frontier was 1987.
Was there in Hamburg, Germany. Also Run for Cover 1985 and Victims of the Future 1983.
Would love to see you guys interview Philip Sayce!
Great video :)
Liverpool fan and a great guitar player get in.
The bit about Moore being "done" by a single bend in a duelling solo kind of reminds me of the duelling solo between Steve Vai and Dweezil Zappa on the Zappa Plays Zappa DVD (I believe it's in the tune "Trouble Every Day") and one of the best moments is when they're just trading full-on shred stuff and then it's Vai's turn and he just hits one note and vibratos the *SHIT* out of it. And it's just so much cooler than if he's played dozens of notes in the same interval.
Is it possible to get Satchel (Russ Parrish) from Steel Panther on board?
Oh god yes ^^^^ This!
I don't think dear old uncle Lee could handle full on Satchel:) Russ Parish could be great.
Im sure on one of the videos lee says they tried to get him on but he said no/or couldnt get an answer
Let Pete do the interview. 98.47% would have to be bleeped out, but it would probably still be fun.
there's no words to how I envy Jack lol
Hey Lee love the Andertons Channel...how about The Captain meets Josh Smith?
That infamous Malmsteen quote ❤️
*Like father like son ❤*
Great interview Captain!
Joe Bonamassa uses Lazy J amps as well, never mentioned on Andertons, Jesse Hoff also based in Guildford
on another note....5 years on, and "Klopp" is still in Liverpool.....cheers from germany.....the german team is actually flying back home today as we speak....🤣
from quatar that is......
Really nice bloke.
Jack Moore, serious chopzzzzz
He can play well, wish I'd got a few lessons from his dad back when I was a teen.
Love Gary Moore one of a kind
Would like to see the red Duesenberg guitar in the background get used!!
That was Albert King .......he was on Gary's live album..........
I don't think 16 is too late for rock and blues playing. Probably about right. The earlier the better if playing classical etc.
I live on moore road!:)))
He's good. And that's a killer guitar!
Meets Alex Lifeson if possible please!
omg YES
I second the recommendation
or steve howe!
Yes, infinity!
+ Joey Busnardo - I agree, but not likely unless Lee visits Canada, since they've stopped touring.
Shortest interview ever? The Captain meets Buckethead!! He would do the interview with a talk box!
Reb Beach was Doug Aldrich’s bandmate in Whitesnake
I wonder if he’s a natural righty? His dad was left handed but played right handed. His dominant hand was on the neck. Some of the best players around are the same including Steve Morse. I’m right handed but the first time I picked up a guitar it felt natural in a lefty position with my right hand on the neck. It was strung right handed so I learned to play it right handed. My right hand 40 years later still has better dexterity than my left. I wonder if it would have made me better playing a left handed guitar. I accomplished pretty much anything I wanted to playing right handed but still wonder what if. Any thoughts?
FYI Jack is left handed just like Dad was

Anders Nilsson ....hahahaha....i was thinking Roger Moore's son!!!
Ok Gibson, where's this Firebird in your lineup? :)
Gary was a legend among many, Clapton, Page Gilmor, Knopher, apologies to many other British legends, etc. Who is to say who stands head and shoulders above the rest,. But in the 50s and early 60s. Hank Marvin did not stand above the rest because there was no, REST, Hank was the man, no-one else. He inspired thousands of people to pick up a guitar. The captain seems to think he was a joke, without him and Cliff, British popular music would not exist. John Lennon said "before Cliff there was no British music worth listening to". Stop thinking Hank was a joke ,captain, he was 'the man' of his time.
You guys thought about have marty friedman on the show? It would be crazy!
In summary "so yeah like it um like yeah it *mumbles* like it was like pretty cool"
Eggy 1632 he’s death rattle talking
Eggy 1632 not as cool as having 28 recording tutorials by other people as the only thing on your RUclips channel , no yolk
Jill Mayer could say the same to you mate haha
The Captain meets Jonny Buckland!
You didn't know that Gary's '61 Fiesta Red Strat WAS Hank Marvin's guitar??!!!
