In 9:10, as Latinos we usally say if 13 is subtracted than it’s being add to the other side. So we write 3x = 40 - 13 and we solve What’s on the other side that doesn’t have an X which is 3x = 27. And if 3 is being multiplied then it will divide in the other side that doesn’t have an X which is x = 27/3 then we solve which is 9.

Btw I just wanted to add that I have the ASVAB for Dummies book which is great, however watching your videos on those same math topics has made me understand parts of the book that are not in depth. On 31:00 I thought it was 68 - W= 284 meaning minus W not negative W. How can you tell the difference between a negative W and a minus W, that was confusing😭
