    1inch = 0.5 miles. His house is 1.5 ft
    12 inches = 1 ft 0.5 ft is 6inchs.
    12+6= 18inches 18× 0.5 = 9.0 miles answer D

    Sorry I don't understand, 1 feet is 12 inches, 12 plus 5 is 17 no 18
