8:13 One of the best encounters in the level! Speedrunners : **SUPER FASTBALL** (A technique that allows you to fastball almost all the way to the uplink targeting module)
I like your videos! One suggestion though: please turn on ingame subtitles. @@TheActualMrLink I've actually kept this comment in mind and have tried to remember to do it as much as possible. Although unfortunately I also have an absolutely terrible memory so sometimes forget! Remembered to do it for the Bioshock video, but definitely didn't for the most recent Halo 3 one 🙈

Yes I did miss out on the actual combat, but it was a very memorable experience being an unstopable pilot who does not even give a damn about all the obstacles you put in his way
Weird thing about the arc tool, you can stun enemies by shooting em with it for long enough. No clue why it’s in there, but it came in real handy when I was trying to see how many levels you could beat without killing enemies

Honestly one of my all time favorite games to play through, more than once too because learning how to go faster or upping the difficulty makes it almost like a whole new game
Ok, so I love this video and all but the thing about the bosses being “too easy” really doesn’t count. You’re playing on Easy and that’s the whole point, I’ve 100% the game and am gen 11 in multiplayer and I can confidently say that the bosses are much, much harder on the higher difficulties.
Thanks Michael! I played on Normal for this video and usually always play on that default difficulty (or whatever it's called instead) when getting footage for these vids. I've also completed the game on Master difficulty and I would actually agree with you - it's much harder (and I'd say also a more rewarding experience) and that includes the bosses.
For the throw callback: The devs explained that normally the throw should have been in effect and cause, but for some reason I forgot they decided to put it in the next mission
You should do a video on the other missions of the TitanFall 2 campaign. The facility is an achievement in platformer gaming and the assault on the IMC transport ship is a level that every sci-fi shooter should have.
This mission was a 'trial mission' in the Xbone for me. I played this mission at least 20 times, and I never got tired of it. This game is truly timeless, for me at least.
If you do one more video about this spectacular campaign, it has to be the one you fight viper, also thx to effect and cause video and this one, im really hyped about what is waiting for us in titanfall's 3 campaign, if we get it some day
Cheers Wade! I do agree with you on the bosses - they're much harder at higher difficulties. However, I always play on normal, or whatever the default difficulty is, for the videos as I assume that's what most people will be playing it on.
Great vid, as always. Gotta disagree with the boss fights though. When I played through the game on the hardest difficulty I got so much more out of them and a couple other sections. To this day I still pop TF2 in when my internet goes out and I can just play it offline.
(I know I'm late but I just found you and boy am I loving your take on my favorite FPS game) You probably haven't noticed, but you can use the arc in combat. Shooting an enemy (robot or human) with it will stun it, allowing you to just briefly block enemies while traveling with the arc instead of shooting and killing all the enemies. It's a different and "pacifist" way to finish the mission that makes you appreciate the arc tool more
Thanks dude! And yeh, definitely should have mentioned that but it completely slipped my mind. Hoping to put everything together into one long video soon, in which I'll rectify a few bits and bobs like that.
I dedicated myself to only use the tool to take down enemies after i got it, it feels great to taze grunts and beat em up with your Bare hands as well as overcharging the robots
Honestly thought this level had a lot of lost potential. It ended as soon as I saw where I thought it was going with the combination of wall running, the arc tool, and combat. Although I still look to Effect and Cause as Titanfall 2's iconic level like you said, I'd actually put Into the Abyss as a close second. Sure it doesn't have a cool mechanic that's unique to that level per-se, but I thought the idea of progressing through a foundry as a house is built around you, as it progresses into the construction of a whole town/testing arena, was such an amazing and technically impressive idea. If you're going to do any more Titanfall 2 videos, I'd love an exploration on that level since it was my second favorite level in the game.
SPOILERS This mission displays one of the best aspects of tiranfall 2's campaign, much like the toxic sludge level. The reason I got attached to BT when I played titanfall 2 is because of how much they rely on eachother for support, without Cooper, BT couldn't have gotten the transmitter, however without BT, Cooper couldn't get through the fog. Keeping in mind you use the same weapons as BT, this relays a bond and makes it all the more harder at the final mission when BT dies. Anyway incredible video dude, the quality is way more than I ever could've wanted.
@@BenPlaysGames You are WELCOME! It's nice to see someone praising this mission, because I... actually had a lot of fun doing it. It was kinda funny using the arc tool to give myself a robot army.
just so you know cause I didn't see it mentioned but you can electrocute enemies with the arc tool if you zap them like a panel. I see the encounter you described as disappointing as a build on that little mechanic. you've been given a bit to play around and maybe accidentally hit a grunt or two mid-combat, and now you can test out how you can use that. It also gives you some gravity stars right before that fight, leading you into the idea of stunning/disabling enemies.
I think one of the major reasons people don't like the beacon as much as effect and cause is because of the time travel mechanic not being brought over. A lot of people seem to think the game would be vastly improved by bringing the mechanic forward, (an opinion i disagree with, mostly for the sheer amount of effort it would have taken to design all future missions like that) and the beacon seems to get marked down a lot because of that complaint. Also, the arc tool can be used to stun grunts. Not a very interesting mechanic, but it makes sense, and makes the multiple reapers make a lot more sense, as they can't be stunned, keeping the combat challenging.
One thing that Respawn does fail to do in this level is showing you that the Arc Tool is actually very effective on robots, allowing you to take down large groups of Spectres when you are in a pinch
I agree with all of the praise, except 'never begins to drag'. The parts where you have to stop running or shooting and play heavy equipment operator to move panels always feels like such an unnecessary momentum killer. I also wasn't a huge fan of the final section inside the disc, but aside from that and the lackluster boss fight you mentioned it really was a great piece of level design.
That's a reasonable point Cat and the more I think about it, the more I agree with you - they could have been removed entirely and I'm not sure it would have made much of a difference.
@@BenPlaysGames Thinking further myself, and working off of a possibly faulty memory, it's possible they were there to introduce the player's ability to move platforms before doing it in a more dynamic environment, so that the player keeps it in mind when things speed up again. Also, a bit more establishment for the data knife and using it to pilot the ship later on, I suppose. I just wish it had been a little less clunky, especially in a game that does such a great job introducing new gameplay concepts in so many other areas of the series. Maybe because this level was designed earlier than the others, and they just never went back to rework that segment up to the same polish. Side note: I didn't mind the switch to standard tutorial mode your first time inside BT as much as you seemed to. Maybe it's because I came from Mechwarrior, but it felt appropriate, reinforcing the fact that you're operating a massive machine, not just becoming a giant pilot like Mario grabbing a mushroom.

I know Im a little late the the party here, but I have a different opinion on the bosses id like to share. Ive played a lot of Titanfall 2, easily over 600 hours, and I completed the campaign on the highest difficulty which is no mean feat even for somebody who has had a lot of practice in the multiplayer. The boss battles gain a lot more significance in the higher difficulties, as the strength of the bosses scales up by a lot. When Richter can almost one shot you with his salvo core, and since the missiles are guided and he uses the same technique most players do of firing them into the sky and then arcing them down onto you even as you try to dodge the guided missiles, it can be a very close call to dodge it. You have to slow down and draw the fight out, and respect his attacks a lot more. On the highest difficulty I found basically all of the boss fights make me sweat, probably more than a lot of human players do. When the attacks do maybe 300% of the damage compared to multiplayer its hard not to get the blood pumping. Otherwise I agree with everything you said, and I still love watching your analysis of what makes my favorite game great.
This is a great comment and what you've said is completely reasonable - a fair few people have said similar to me. I always play the games on medium difficulty or so, to try and see things through the eyes of most playing it, but it definitely means I miss out on bits like this now and then!
Personally, I love The Beacon maybe slightly more than the Effect and cause, because I love the level design and its look. Also the reason why I love playing on the Forward base Kodai :D
My criticism of the beacon was the crane sections, as they always took you out of the game just to hold a direction key for 5 seconds Additionally the level design is one of the most mundane on my personal experience, just being a mix of warm colors and metals in comparison to others
I suppose it's not the most exciting visually, but the actual structure of the level I'm a big fan of. Do agree on the cranes though, in retrospect perhaps they could have been replaced with more arc tool platforming.
It's a shame how underrated this game is I didn't play it till it was free on psplus but if they ever make a 3rd one (which I doubt) I will definitely be playing it
it's so hard to not say that any given mission in this campaign is "the best in any first person shooter" considering titanfall 2 has one of the best campaigns of any fps ever
Regular actually 😋 Finished the game back near launch on master, played through The Ark on master for the Viper boss fight more recently and that was probably enough for the time being, don't have the reflexes I used to! I always play games I'm talking about on the standard difficulty usually, as I assume that's what most will be playing on.
@@BenPlaysGames It was my pleasure. Your videos are well made and entertaining, and I’m passionate about Titanfall, so this video checks all the right boxes.
I have to disagree with the boss battles being unnecessary. First of all the bosses are not easy, it's just that Richter is the easiest boss fight. The Viper battle is notoriously hard on Master difficulty. Secondly I like the boss battles in Titanfall 2 because you need to learn the attack pattern and behavior to win, for example learning when to use the vortex shield to block Tone's tracking rockets. Also each boss fight is unique because they have their own titans and abilities you need to learn, so it's never boring.

This channel deserves more recognition, you understand stuff a lot more and can explain in a really understanding way on why you feel this way about things.
Thanks Goose my man, really glad you enjoyed the video!
Subbed. Someone finally spoke about this mission, it's such a fun mission
One of my faves, Kermit! Cheers for the support too my man.
8:13 One of the best encounters in the level!
Speedrunners : **SUPER FASTBALL**
(A technique that allows you to fastball almost all the way to the uplink targeting module)
Thanks for bringing this to me attention - I just watched a video about it (big fan of watching speedruns) and it's bloomin awesome!
I cant believe you only 3k subs, with this well done content, you deserve millions
Thanks Ramitos mate, really appreciate that!
Wow! These vids are great! I’m binging your channel so hard! Hope you grow, because you deserve it!
Thanks for the awesome feedback Mazok!
Great video, love the structure of it super super engaging and entertaining keep it up
Cheers Joshua mate, appreciate that!
I like your videos! One suggestion though: please turn on ingame subtitles. I have audio processing issues (meaning that my ears can hear well enough, but my brain can’t always figure out what’s being said) and some of BT’s dialogue is hard to understand without subtitles due to the “filter” over his (?) voice.
Thanks mate and sure thing! I'll do that in future for sure. Just on Titanfall 2 or is it difficult for other games too?
@@BenPlaysGames I’d say turn them on for all videos if you can. It’s just good practice for accessibility, y’know?
@@TheActualMrLink I've actually kept this comment in mind and have tried to remember to do it as much as possible. Although unfortunately I also have an absolutely terrible memory so sometimes forget! Remembered to do it for the Bioshock video, but definitely didn't for the most recent Halo 3 one 🙈
@@BenPlaysGames you are the greatest kind of man.
during the second half, I actually just blazer trought with the movement mechanics, and using the arc tool to find the safest and fastest routes.
Hello Ben, just wanted to say i recently discovered your channel; (not even 2 hours passed at the time of writing this)
And I wanted to say, you're doing an amazing job and you put so much effort for your videos, don't ever give up, don't let bad thoughts fail you and control you, your channel will grow, whether at a slow or fast pace, that I'll leave for fate. Good luck at your journey and RUclips, and I'm happy to say, I'm joining now on it from now on. :)
Hey dude and huge apologies for the slow response! I try to respond to every comment but it's a bit of a struggle to get through them all at the moment! Thanks so much for joining me on the journey mate, really appreciate your support. I'm growing slowly but surely and definitely quicker than a few months back, so hopefully it continues!
Such a high quality video mate! You just got a sub
Cheers Kolbjørn, much appreciated mate!
Viper on master is a whole another level of difficult.
Sans
As someone who has completed the campaign on master I can confirm the bosses are still pretty easy
I disagree, as a G 9 in multiplayer, the bosses seem like the same as normal enemy titans just with more health
For the throw callback:
The devs explained that normally the throw should have been in effect and cause, but for some reason I forgot they decided to put it in the next mission
Ah that's super interesting, thanks for letting me know mate!
@@BenPlaysGames my pleasure!

You should do a video on the other missions of the TitanFall 2 campaign.
The facility is an achievement in platformer gaming and the assault on the IMC transport ship is a level that every sci-fi shooter should have.
Keep your eyes on the channel mate, you may not have to wait to long for at least one of those levels to be covered 😉
This mission was a 'trial mission' in the Xbone for me. I played this mission at least 20 times, and I never got tired of it. This game is truly timeless, for me at least.
For me too Mauz, good gameplay never goes out of fashion.
If you do one more video about this spectacular campaign, it has to be the one you fight viper, also thx to effect and cause video and this one, im really hyped about what is waiting for us in titanfall's 3 campaign, if we get it some day
No worries dude! I do plan to cover both that and Into The Abyss sometime soon as well.
Your videos are very well thought-out and a joy to watch! Thank you!
Thank for the kind words Charlie mate!
Amazing video! However, I have an objection concerning the bosses - they’re not bad if you play on “master”
(I know I'm late but I just found you and boy am I loving your take on my favorite FPS game)
You probably haven't noticed, but you can use the arc in combat.
@@BenPlaysGames Well, can't wait! I'll check out some other of your content in the meantime then
@@ErPaniX Cheers PaniX, appreciate the support!
please more of this!!!!! maybe one about the final mission
Definitely more in the works Luciano, will be covering Into The Abyss in the next 2-3 videos.
I dedicated myself to only use the tool to take down enemies after i got it, it feels great to taze grunts and beat em up with your Bare hands as well as overcharging the robots
Great content but only 300 views bruh keep up the good work
Cheers Inbo, growing slowly but surely!
my favourite is the slight quip bt makes before the dish tilts, something about the dish tilting, followed by the dish tilting
My friend who introduced me to Titan fall2 was this level and it got me hooked
One of my favorite subtle things in this mission is using the arc tool to activate robots to work for you.
Yep, awesome touch. And, I so often forget to do it too 🙈
SPOILERS
This mission displays one of the best aspects of tiranfall 2's campaign, much like the toxic sludge level.
I'm a simple man. I see Titanfall 2 content, I like, subscribe, and click that bell icon.
Haha cheers for the support Fluffy!
BT's thumbs up was the best!
I love that scene so much!
Not a very interesting mechanic, but it makes sense, and makes the multiple reapers make a lot more sense, as they can't be stunned, keeping the combat challenging.
you deservee more attention
Thanks Heliax mate, really kind of you!
i'm so used to doing the speed run strats on this level i genuinely forgot like half of part 3 was a thing
One thing that Respawn does fail to do in this level is showing you that the Arc Tool is actually very effective on robots, allowing you to take down large groups of Spectres when you are in a pinch
This is true! To the extent where I think I might have actually forgotten you could do it in when recording the footage for this video 😂
During my playthrough of this level, the combat encounter after acquiring the replacement module bugged out and the enemies didn't spawn at all
11:41 "chicken sandwich"
I remember using the arctool and melee to kill almost everyone in that level. Because it was fun to electrocute them and punch them.
I should have done more of this 🙈
1)they tell you that radiation will kill Cooper and pilot suit will protect you, but not only it does nothing until the doors closed, but Cooper has his sleeves rolled over, his hands are bare and suit isn't airtight.
2)try to search for helmets on your own? Invisible walls.
3)climbed the tower without BT and tried to install the module you don't have yet? Game crashes.
4)try to climb crane to bypass? Invisible wall. Try to climb rail system? It's electrified!
5)try to go back on construction site because your guns ran dry? Doors closed behind you and if you wall run on the outside, you will find that the game deleted all the guns and ammo from previous section.
6)"boss fight" that will crash the game if you're too far(ie on the other side of the tower) to see his monologue. Not to mention weakest "boss" in the game due to long distance and retreat potential available to you here.
Second best level was factory, even if arena section turned out to be underwhelming due to sign masts present on two buildings.
Why doesnt Cooper just light up the Apex Predators whenever they exit their Titans to intoduce themselves? 🧐🧐🧐
Very interesting!
Cheers mate!
“Super fast ball” - Titanfall 2 speedrunner
I only learned about this recent from someone else in the comments. It's bloody awesome haha.
Love TF2 you reserve way more nieuws keep up the good work
Thanks Ilo mate, really appreciate the kind words!
Now you're thinking with -portals- arc tools
😂
I always liked that you could stun enemies using the arc tool. I used the stun to hack spectres
I didn't mention this in the video and should have done - that will be rectified when I do the full campaign round up!
@@BenPlaysGames sounds good! I have really enjoy these videos so far so I'm glad to have helped with one
My favorite use for the arc tool was goofing around by electrocuting the human soldiers
Personally, I love The Beacon maybe slightly more than the Effect and cause, because I love the level design and its look. Also the reason why I love playing on the Forward base Kodai :D
Imagine not killing the MRVN with the Arc Tool to put it out of it's misery
My criticism of the beacon was the crane sections, as they always took you out of the game just to hold a direction key for 5 seconds
Additionally the level design is one of the most mundane on my personal experience, just being a mix of warm colors and metals in comparison to others
I suppose it's not the most exciting visually, but the actual structure of the level I'm a big fan of. Do agree on the cranes though, in retrospect perhaps they could have been replaced with more arc tool platforming.
the arc tool basically turns titanfall into watchdogs for a bit
at 10:33 you said the arc tool wasnt used enough, why didnt you just do what i did and use it as a weapon
2:20
is it just me or dose BT look concerned after hearing the power's out?
for me I like the part in blood and rust where you gotta wait till 100 percent. I do it on master and its really fun
did you just called mrvin a robot??
No. Maybe.
Fun fact: if you don't push the antena all the way, the enemies don't spawn, making it quicker to get to the good combat
It's a shame how underrated this game is I didn't play it till it was free on psplus but if they ever make a 3rd one (which I doubt) I will definitely be playing it
If they release a third one, I will take the day off and sit in my living room in my underwear playing it all day.
Wait it was free on psplus?
What are those animations at the beggining??
Just some footage from one of the trailers, I often use them for intro footage.
I mean, the arctool can be used in combat with great effect, as it stuns enemies for a long time
This boss was fun af though
I'm not a huge fan, but plenty of people have said they like the bosses, so it could be me who's wrong!
it's so hard to not say that any given mission in this campaign is "the best in any first person shooter" considering titanfall 2 has one of the best campaigns of any fps ever
Agree evee, basically everything after Blood and Rust is solid gold!
Why didn’t you talk about Marvin
Next Titanfall 2 video I do, I promise I'll give him a mention!
This is also the trial mission for ps4 and (maybe) xbox
They chose a good one! Definitely a decent mission to show people how good the game is.
You can actually navigate around the smog without BT on the side skirts

Cpt_M1137 got upset and made an angry comment here about difficulty levels.

@@BenPlaysGames no problem but its only training
My favorite level is the manufacturing plant
Also you can kill enemies with the ark tool
I have to disagree with the boss battles being unnecessary. First of all the bosses are not easy, it's just that Richter is the easiest boss fight. The Viper battle is notoriously hard on Master difficulty. Secondly I like the boss battles in Titanfall 2 because you need to learn the attack pattern and behavior to win, for example learning when to use the vortex shield to block Tone's tracking rockets. Also each boss fight is unique because they have their own titans and abilities you need to learn, so it's never boring.
Wow jumping from wall to wall is do damn hard, bruh i Walled runned on frist mision , people should know this already
