I wanted to share my experience in here: I want to be honest, I thought it was gonna be easy cuz when I listened to the first 10 seconds it looked pretty nice for a begginer. The next minute I was struggling AND I WANTED TO DROP EVERYTHING. The rest of the song was pretty easy. I'm a begginer but this easy tutorial taught me a lot of things. I rlly recommend this 👍👍👍

For learning the song, I learned the right hand first and then I learned the left hand. If you are trying to combine the two, try if play it regular speed and if you mess up, keep going! If that is too difficult, try playing with the song at 0.75 speed. It does not matter if you mess up, just keep practicing and you will get it. If you are playing the song in front of people, even if you mess up, keep going and do not try and fix the mistake. Hopefully this helps other pianists! Comment on this if this does help!!
Ricardo Saavedra i already got that, im learning first right hand then second hand and then if i know them both good i try at very very slow speed practise that if im better i go for faster speed and if i mess up too much i go back !

This is what got me so good at piano and how I discovered my ear for music. I was just screwing around while humming this song along in my head. I found middle C and just tried every note I could until I found it. I played it in single notes and then into a chord. It was really slow and repetitive and took a few weeks but I had it in less than a month. I only looked up part of it and guessed all on my own just by listening to the song. This is meant to be easy? You mean crazy! My advice would be to just do the green parts first because that is a good starting point. How did Legend sing AND play at the same time?!? That is crazy! I had to pause this literally EVERY five SECONDS but learning it was worth it. It sounds super impressive! Good luck!
Because when he sings it’s in the same pitch as the notes, it’s the same as how it’s easier to play the song when you know the lyrics and you basically sing along in your head to it

Didn't realize this song was so simple when it's slowed down
This is how I learned this and it worked.
1. Learn the first part on half speed
2.practice/record on piano the left hand on half speed
3. Play right hand at half speed whilst playing left hand recording
4. Do steps 2 and 3 at normal speed
5. Practice, practice, practice

me and my 7 year old daughter trying to play this. Its the first song we ever try to play and take it VERY slow. With her kid memory she will soon play the whole song i am sue. To help in beginning i also put small labels on the notes and name them 1,2,3,4 etc so she knows wich notes to take togheter.
The melody i is just to learn ofc. But thats a tip. We are up to number 10 wich is only like the first 5 sec of the song SO after that the labels need to be rewritten or its impossible to see, to messy. But its a tip if u got kids to make it even a little easier in the very very beginning . I am sure colors works also.
Dont mind with how many strums(dunno piano words, i play guitarr) on each note and such. They learn that ultra fast from memory. This is ONLY a help to make her faster put the fingers on the correct notes...So its start with number 1 on 3 notes. And tha fact she shall play the right hand 2 extra time, as i said, that she learn.
For my kid this helps alot and she dont need to look at computer screen while playing.
