God works and leads people to hear a message, that one should hear. I have not only got more out of what you have already said. the proof is when what you have already had said, to now. god has blessed you to speak to ones needs. I feel that your not talking about Jonah in particularly, but you're almost talking about who I am and what I need to change. when it hits home it when you realize are you really talking about Jonah are you really talking about the person receiving the word. Awesome sermon! I love this series! Re video 3. One observation! our worship should also reflect what God enjoys as well as His quality. God is not an off-beat God. He has told us the worship He enjoys from a humbled heart. He has also told us what He does not want in worship music. Read Ellen White. Remember music played a big part in Balpeor and a big part in Daniel 3 and led to false worship. The questions, David, "are "Do we love Jesus enough to chooses what pleases Him--not us--but Him? Do we care enough to study what He wants not only in helping others but His desires in dress, music, and entertainment?" We need gospel outreach, reliance on God's goodness, internalization of His values and principles, a cultivated devotional life with Him, and devoted service.
How come you have never said a single positive thing about Jewish People? Not one. You have said not all Jews are Jerks after meeting an ultra religious person in an airport and on the same plane you took many years ago (I believe I know why he treated you in this manner). And now you are making up untrue things about Jews fearing water. You know as well as anyone those beasts represented Kingdoms when mentioned by Daniel. And I noticed you never quoted chapter and verse for the first citation. Why do you think the Scriptures indicated that it was "the G-d of Abraham, and the G-d of Isaac and the G-d of Jacob", rather than merely saying "The G-d of Abraham Isaac and Jacob"? Until you can answer that adequately, I would really appreciate your not looking down at Jews in this somewhat shady light year after year. Are you simply afraid that there is more study of the scriptures and clearer meanings among Messianic/Traditional Jews than what an 1863 movement out of Battle Creek can come up with?
It's not about hatred toward Jews, he's reading scripture as is. If message seems incredulous to Jews, it's not the message, it's scriptures testifying against the history of disobedience of the Jewish in that they refused to share God goodness with the known world at the time, in uniting the world in truth and in preparation for the coming messiah.
Replacement Theology is not new: Supersessionism, also called replacement theology or fulfillment theology, is a Christian doctrine which asserts that the New Covenant through Jesus Christ supersedes the Old Covenant, which was made exclusively with the Jewish people. All those promises were indeed given by G-d and as with all covenant promises had two sides. The people all promised to keep the law and failed many times. Yet G-d was faithful to them than at the cross the leadership of Isreal stated "We have no god but Ceaser" emphatically stating a National rejection of the covenant. In Revelation, it is clear that All Nations will wonder after the Beast. The Jewish nation will have its temple rebuilt as many Christians also believe it must be so. But he who fills it will not be G-d but Satan as an angel of light able to even call down fire from heaven. Think about the end of the story of Jonah, He never got it! He never understood that G-d loved the Ninevites. In the end, the Jews never did take the gospel to the world. That is a prophecy about the end of the world, Isreal as a Nation is never again back in the covenant. Sure many Jews as are are gentiles. Go watch "Revelation in symbols and Signs" on RUclips.
The flaw in your thesis, is a misunderstanding of Israel. The covenant stands with the chosen (Israel). But, the chosen are not necessarily direct descendants of Jacob. A more complete explanation would require more typing on my phone than I would like to endure at this time.
I have not heard of a prophet in my life time. this man is the closest thing we have to one. may god grant him that title one day.
