the head unit invokes it's namesake of being a serpent with multiple heads hence why it appears to have four faces aside from the Gundam and Zeong ones.

I got this model because it was a NIGHTMARE in the Gundam Battle Assault games. I read G-Unit afterwards. Yeah, I was disappointed by the age and articulation of this kit, but the coolness and intimidation factor made this kit well worth it!

Off all the old 90s kits I want being given a remaster treatment, this is the one I want the most! Never had this kit, but I loved it when I saw the Hydra as the last boss (I think?) of the PS1 game, Gundam Battle Assault. G-Unit remaster please, Bandai!!
@@infernas Also, there ought to be a sub-line for G Generation originals. I really want the Tornado Gundam (though it actually made its first appearance in a Snes game)

Fantastic review of a seriously impressive kit! The level of articulation the shoulder arms has really surprised me. Good ol' 90s extendo arms. It would be great to see that feature make a comeback in modern designs!
Kakarot you don"t even know how long i have waited for this review, you are an awesome reviewer. I haven't even seen the video yet but you already got my like.
My gateway to Gundam was Hydra Gundam on Gundam Battle Assault game, however I still disturbing models lack of Beam Saber (and Beam Rifle) hardpoint. If HGAC version would be announced, I will definitely pre order.
Considering we have gotten the Geminass unit 1 and 2, the Assault Booster and High Mobility Unit, the L.O Booster, and the Aesulepius all as P Bandai within the past couple years, I would imagine a new Hydra is right around the corner.
My very first model kit my dad bought me when I was a kid back in the day. Didn't know the lore behind it that it was from a manga or a final boss of a ps1 game.
So years ago, OZ actually developed a transformable Zeong/Gundam long before Zeon even conceived of a remotely close model. Instead, Zeon went with the Neo-Zeong. New idea for OZ, Neo-Hydra. It would be like a cross between Neo-Zeong and the Psycho Gundam.
Umm...you know Zeon and Oz arent in the same universe right? Gundam Wing and Gundam 0079 are totally separate. So you cant really say Oz did anything before Zeon. Even if they were in the same universe/timeline, Zeon would have come and gone long before Oz even existed
@@damianwomack4668 I know they are not in the same universe, but interesting how OZ created a transformable version of the Zeong that not even Zeon tried to prototype.
Imagine a modern HG version, that would be amazing.
It will look awesome!
Yes fuckin please...remaster battle assault 2 on PS4 and switch while were at it
I think they've already announced one of the suits from G-Unit as a HGAC kit coming out in June

I can't believe I missed that lol
My mind immediately jumps to Gelgoog when looking at the side of that head.
Lucem okay so I’m not the only one who thought that.
Let's make us three then

The final boss of Gundam Battle Assault(PSX).
The size of it caught me so off guard

It was a monster. I managed to unlock him while lowkey "cheating" with Physalis who can rape anyone with his unlimited explosive shower.😅😅😅.

Also final boss on street mode for zechs and his tallgeese 3 on battle assault 2

My cousin also owned this kit while I own the Griepe. Those are among of the earliest Gunpla we had.
Not too sure about the head and its four faces, I like the overall concept of this suit! Absolutely loving this kit!
Damn you Kakarot for making me fall in love at first sight with this suit when I can't find a site that has him in stock.

My main in GBA2 as well although the 2 one has excellent suits Ans more refined gameplay

Could be the strangest Gundam ever conceived. I love that gun stored on the shoulder
And the OG "gundam killer" too...so OZ like
You always bring back my childhood memmories!!!!!!! 😍😍
Why don't you tell us where you got these? It driving me crazy trying to find any of them for a fair price especially the Hydra gundam
I got them from HLJ a couple of years ago. I snagged the set when they got restocked.
love these reviews of older kits :D thnx kakarot!
I'm reminded more of the Alpha Azeriu than the Zeong by the transformation. Must be the massive shoulders and the massive size for a Wing machine.
I loved the aquatic one with the claws!
Watch out, you'll end up becoming my favorite gunpla channel at this rate ;P
this and psycho gundam MK3 needs a 1/144 hg model
an MG version of these would be awesome..
Can we have a video about UC mobile armors?
I have this kit back in the day, i dont remember where i put them and the rest of my transparent ew.
Wonder if I could scrap one of the new Leo's to give this kit modern joints
where do you get it? im having a hard time getting it to Hobby link japan...
Gonna hunt for this guy...but I have already tons of backlogs
I had the Hydra as well.
loved it, till one of the pegs broke on the claw/beam cannon arms
Is it part of gundam wing ?
something tells me the always bulky Zaku III is his favorite :D
I've wanted this since gundam battle assault, I think I need to restart my hunt...
Super rare would love to do detailing for this
