I managed to learn a little after the first ride and then talking to my friend about how it just pulled my arms off. I'm used to the 150 and my brain was all messed up. Have to ride this like a 4 stroke and always a gear higher, found it doesn't pull my arms off constantly.
Just found your channel! I've been to Gopher a few times! Do you ride any of the local group rides? Beagle Bash, Midhurst, Rock Hound, etc? Maybe I'll see you out on the trails!
Hey! Yeah, I'm in Kitchener. I haven't gone to any of those, I was going to ride the XC series around here, but, I took a bad injury two years ago riding and I know I'll push myself too hard in anything competitive.. lol
I'm still getting used to it! My 150 was my first 2 stroke, which I had to learn to ride high in revs etc. Now, my mentality is kind of the same.. I'm realizing this bike needs to be rode like a 4 stroke, so it's really messing with my head! But, all I gotta do is upshift and sit in higher gear and I think it'll get even better!
@@snyderhaus yea man that's interesting, I ride a yz 125 now and same as you it's just balls to the walls on it, I was thinking if I move up and ride a bigger bike like I do my 125 I'll probably end up killing myself lol, it seems from videos I've watched you really don't have to ride these newer bikes as hard, I haven't drove one yet but I'm pretty keen on getting a 250xc, I think I will have to ride it differently, but I'm getting away from the track and more into trail riding and I think these bikes are a lot better bike for it
I love the small bore bikes, the 300 is definitely making me a lot more lazy! I couldn't figure out how to ride it, so spoke with my buddy riding the beta in this whose a expert class rider here in Ontario... He was like "just keep it in 3rd, it's all torque".. riding it like my 150 was definitely completely incorrect. A 250 XC would be ideal I feel if coming from a 125 and you like riding the motor out and working it a little harder.
Much better than the last video! Bike sounds good!
