These podcasts are absolutely amazing. I wish more players, parents and kids would watch. Every podcast provides prospective from different views. Thank you PTH for doing this.

How these don’t have thousands of views is beyond me

I know, right? If you think about, there's, what is it, 500,000 kids in Minor Hockey? And does that mean there's a million crazy parents? Or 333,000.haha?

We’re hockey people… not social media gurus, unfortunately 🤷

So , I have had so many different type of advice regarding Spring hockey. What I have actually observed in my association (Quebec) at a U13 and U11 age group is that all the players who play Spring hockey are the same players who play AA and AAA level teams and the ones who don’t play honestly have no chance at making those teams at those age groups. So the ones not playing Spring fall into B or C level groups. Is it good development for a child to be in an environment where work ethic is not really a focus playing on B or C teams? Also , in all honesty these B and C level grouped teams are very painful to watch as 99% of the players have no clue what effort or work is within the game. I’m very torn with the Spring leagues as I don’t want my kids being in an environment in which hardworking and good habits are overlooked as these are things I value when playing the game. I put both my kids in Spring leagues every year and find it very valuable. I must say it is fascinating to see this conversation progress as the years pass. 👍🏻
