One of the best jazz guitars ever made, comfortable, light, with nice tone and zero feedback on the stage even at high volumes...

I don’t agree about the feedback but it’s a great guitar indeed

Great video! One of the guitars I own is a 100% original Japanese GB-10 and when you play it you fall in love with its' sound and ease of play. The floating mini-humbuckers are unique.

I have the same guitar! I love it so much and you can't beat the sound. George Benson actually designed that guitar for Ibanez and he is a GENIUS for it!

i have this model you are right they're great guitars its the SE model ( you can tell a SE from the Japanese ones by the truss rod cover the Japanese one has George Bensons signature) they're made in china to the exact same spec and wood as the japanese ones ...seriously built to a high standard ...in fact im surprised Ibanez allow it...itd be like Gibson allowing Epiphone to make guitars as good as the USA ones...er which wouldn't be too hard given Gibsons so called quality control lol....the only difference is the Japanese ones have a different process on the neck ...apparently...i say this because ive played my mates Japanese one and really it would appear that they're are no differences quality wise apart from the price and resale value... i could understand the cost difference if the japanese one had a nitro finish but they both are poly....they're built like a tank...i put mine in its case for 3 weeks and when i pick it up most times i dont even have to tune it up...as always i enjoyed very soulful playing...the guitar really suit your style and image .. i use mine for jazz and bossa nova stuff all i need is a Astrud Gilberto look/sing-a- like to sing as i have a very very English Yorkshire accent lol...i use good quality flatwounds on mine and they seem to last forever through a litte Roland JC22 jazz chorus as im not a jazz expert it fulfils all my jazz playing bad joe pass impressions lol

I also use mine for nossa nova and a little jazz playing, but the out of phase option is making me wanting to play some blues and funk stuff on it.
I also use flat wound strings . I have the same set since 2000, so 21 years now!!!

@@BuddaGuedes wow....thats amazing....the same set for 21 years!...ive heard of Bass players doing that but not guitarists...that said it kinda makes sense as a "dull" non treble sound suits Jazz..that said i generally use old(ish) strings on all my guitars and only change them when they refuse to hold tuning....mainly as im tight fisted and lazy lol....ive got quite corrosive sweat and sadly sweaty hands lol...but i use WD40 to wipe them down especially in summer when its hot ...i listened to your bossa nova band a few months ago on spotify it was very cool...

I bought the Ibanez AG85 second hand yesterday, it will arrive pretty soon. Seems to be a bit inspired of these, it also has minimhumbuckers (mounted) and the body shape is similar. It is much more affordable, but I am very in love with it. Can't wait! Cheers :) nice playing btw.

Nice playing. It might be worth pointing out that your model is the Korean made GB10JS and not the more expensive Japanese GB10 with half bone/half brass nut, bound pick guard etc.

@BuddaGuedes thanks for this post. A lot of guys understandably just playing jazz in their review. I needed to hear its versatility as I will be playing blues, funk, ska, rockabilly, and maybe a few entry level jazz standards. Was going to buy the GB10EM but am seriously considering upgrading GB10SE-BS.

I have a GB10js from the nineties.I haven´t played it much in the last fifteen years.
It had a really thick plastic-like finish that I didn´care for.
Maybe I should try it out again?
