Very nice! Mr J inspired many of us as musicians under Docs direction! Well deserved and the band actually sounds good. Articulation, intonation, and dynamics always a plus! Dolls clean and nice on the field!
That field show was a 10. Dr. Lawrence looks amazing. Glad to see him get honored while still in the land of the living. That was fun to watch. Great job Human Jukebox and Fabulous Dancing Dolls.
Haymer elevated the “S” to heights like no other during the social media era. They gave him scraps to work with (literally), yet he still somehow produced Legendary bands. It’s a damn shame the way they used him as a scapegoat. They better hope he doesn’t land back in the SWAC under new direction because the payback will be a MF!!

No offense but I am little tired of hearing M.J. songs. I know su has a deep book and they could have easily found other great songs. However I guess they love love love M.J.'s stuff and I do as well but mix it up y'all. While you're at it get some new drills please Mr.Taylor. I know bands focus more on battles these days but those drills are decades old. Now the dolls are constantly evolving and they look so professional. They always give us creative new routines and I appreciate that. For me they are the highlight of halftime. I notice other dance teams try and copy they're moves this season as well. Keep up the excellent work ladies. My hats off to the choreographer.❤

These new rap song this field show felt like I was at a McKinley High school game listening to McKinley in the bleachers. This was real high school ish …, the playbook is trash he did better going back a play Haymmer playbook from 15 or 16… I hate that they let this man continue to drive our sound in a high school like direction. As much as I love the Jukebox, the ingredients that made everybody want to wear dat "S" on their chest is no longer there. The decades of intense domination in the SWAC and spanking the MEAC is no longer there! THE DOLLS are "The Standard" and have been! Lord knows I miss Doc period... Knighten's pen game, Mr. J's conversations, passion, energy, pen game and intensity! I became a fan of Haymer, Simmons and Taylor as "The Big 3" with Haymer at the helm! The expansion of the band with very high intensity, balance and clarity! I remember a time when the Jukebox would make the halftime score no matter what the score was! I remember a time when you heard the Jukebox clearly blowing from the side during field shows with no drop-off‼️🔥🏆💪🏾✅️ What happened to this formula? Jukes of old know exactly what I'm talking about! The Jukebox has gotten SOFT! No one fears us anymore and Da Boom have figured it out! I remember a time when the Jukebox would blow from their unlimited repertoire until they cut the stadium lights off and they'd still be blowing 🔥🏆💪🏾✅️ My dad and his coworkers would listen to the Jukebox practice on their lunch break at Thomas Scrap down on Scenic Hwy just northwest of the Old Bridge! Do you all know how far that is from Mumford Stadium?! I need "The Beast" to be "The Beast" when he was the assistant, and show these bands why the HUMAN JUKEBOX are THE HUMAN JUKEBOX 💙💛🙏🏽

I was told back in the 70's by a St. Aug band member that su has copied some of there arrangements among other things. Don't know if it's true but that's what I was told.

Now Mr. Taylor what is going on with some of the band members on the field with that MJ song rock with you""" Clearly some of the students didn't know some parts of the song, because they were fading in , and out, and i did noticed the same on other songs as well,"""And for some odd reason, the drum section seems off to me... I'm going to be honest hear, the band didn't sound to hot, because you can clearly tell when some of these students didn't know some songs we'll they blow low , and fade out a lil, and comes back in strong on the parts they know, which causes SU to sound unbalanced at times..... That let it burn by Usher wasn't played well at all, and i was cringing actually the whole time smh..... But Overall they drilled the hell out of that field show ...but music wise i didn't like what i heard.... SU DOLLS was excellent, and perfect... Mr Taylor please fix this, because , JUKEBOX didn't sound good to me... This is coming from a die hard SU fan...

I don’t know if it’s because that In the Stone was arranged for a much smaller band or what but it sounded differently, not bad just different.
It sounds a lot like St. Aug’s arrangement.

I think they should move on from Mr. Taylor, that band is not bad it’s just not nearly as good as it was when Jackson or Haymer was there.
The thing is, if SU moves on from Taylor, who would be most qualified to become Director of Bands at Southern University?
