I asked Google how many miles the fire in California traveled. It gave me a bunch of answers I didn't ask for. I forgot where in Los Angeles the fires started. So, around an hour ago, I asked Perplexity, "How many miles did the fire in california travel so far?" The first sentence was the one on the bottom. Then, it elaborated some more. I thought that maybe Perplexity could only answer old questions and not ones in real time that are currently taking place. But, the point I'm trying to make is that Perplexity understands English the best and presents the information in the easiest ways. And sometimes like in essay format. The Palisades Fire in Los Angeles has burned approximately 18.5 square miles (11,802 acres) as of Wednesday afternoon
Good video; I like how you are ground. NVIDIA is selling shovels in gold rush. I also love how most examples of AI working in a business is a slightly better version of what we were doing during the first big data/machine learning trend like 10 years ago.
My experience of AI so far is that in many cases the AI is like having a useful idiot. Using AI can bring improved productivity in a number of areas, but someone still has to set the task, and check the answer, and more often than not, the first answer given often needs some correcting. A major problem with using AI is that people do not always know what they don't know and while AI may be able to respond to the questions being asked, it may not provide the answer to the questions that should be asked. For example, AI may on request be able to prepare someone's Will. However, there can then be a number of areas that may not be adequately covered under the generality of "All my worldly possessions"; such as part ownership of a shared asset, a foreign property that needs to be specifically mentioned or a business interest that involves third-parties. Although it may be possible for the AI to ask all the questions a lawyer might ask, the AI has to be properly instructed in order to do so. The person instructing the AI is then responsible for triggering questions that a good lawyer may have been trained to ask. In such cases AI may be prove to be a useful tool for a trained lawyer who can have the AI quickly prepare the necessary text, but it is still going to be the experienced trained lawyer who will know what text it is that needs to be prepared. AI therefore may appear to be a threat to some roles, but only in the sense that the word-processor ended the need for secretaries to take dictation, the task may have been consigned to the past, but through word-processors, the secretary role became less menial. While there may be some jobs that will be lost through AI automation, the major benefit of AI is that it can make people simply more productive, just as a spreadsheet has done.
Agree completely - you really need to check it. It males mistakes regularly that I know are wrong so logically I can't trust its accuracy when it computes things I don't know. Useful though.

these tech bros really focused on developing AI for the stupidest reason, why can't they... idk. invent better AI to detect cancer and help how to eradicate them or something?
There is one rule in AI, a human needs to be ultimately responsible for any decisions or work products. Unfortunately, the c-suite wants to abdicate all responsibility…. I didn’t do it, the computer did it.
As to not filing reports when younger, and remembering more details later, in general and MAY apply here…when you are raised in an abusive home, you don't know any other world. Things are normalized that the average well-adjusted person may think are absurd. When treating people, therapists often have to let someone know that what they had to accept as normal is indeed not normal. If the issues include dangers and betrayals by the people you are depending on for survival, or they happen frequently, then one may also develop dissociative amnesia. Recovering lost memories can take time…but I assure you that your body (more precisely nervous system) remembers. It bakes in avoidance, down to even avoiding thinking about it, and will make up excuses for why you feel anxious al the time. As an example of mass dissociative amnesias: people end up with people blaming “the lockdowns” for their problems and totally forgetting the swamped ERs with constant crash carts and loads of people in comas and on respiratory support, refrigerated trucks and mass graves that are actually behind the PTSD that “the lockdowns” and masks and isolation are being blamed for. Loads of people around the US tuning in to Cuomo's daily NY reports, trying to stay calm while attending zoom funerals, and store shelves near empty of necessities, cruise ships totally inundated with disease not being allowed to dock, long waits for supply chain breakage…people forget what it was like and avoid remembering it, have totally forgotten, and even saying all of this, will anyone go “oh shit, yeah I totally forgot” or just double down on it having not been necessary and the lockdowns being the actual problem and claiming that the problem was some type of sham to oppress us into wearing masks and staying home (which makes no sense, trust me the rich people want their workforce churning profits for them…all day, every day).
Tough question at 1:00 .. tempted to say yes, given how they work. AI will make consistent mistakes .. not work fine on one day, and have an off day the next, making us recheck all his work.
I don't think AGI will actually be useful in replacing people. Right now many roles that people are performing can be replaced with automated processes using rules and machine learning. AGI has no real benefit in this respect. In most cases AI isn't 'artificial intelligence' but 'automated inference'.
Money is guiding AI's direction so we're seeing development where someone stands to economically benefit from the technology. It can be used as an enhancement tool but it seems more profitable to market it as a human replacement tool. On the energy side of the equation, I can see the merit in using it to solve issues in which the result has a long term benefit; such as curing disease, but to replace a person's routine job it's more difficult to justify. As long as this government is indirectly promoting proof of work through endorsing BTC, I don't think they really are focused on waisted energy as that is a complete energy loss carrying out meaningless calculations. The energy issue can be solved with nuclear and we've seen companies like Microsoft move in this direction but it begs the question as to why it took the profits from AI to start looking at energy infrastructure before looking at people's needs for affordable energy with the U.S's aging electrical infrastructure.
Just like the iPhone, people will eventually get tired of AI and graphic cards and stop paying an arm or a leg for one. That is when NVidia will stop being so valuable.
Firstly I would say that AI has been "trained" on opensource code shared on stackoverflow amongst several others. Secondly it helps with smaller piece of code but starts hallucinating and making several mistakes as soon as lines of code start stretching. Thats my experience and the amount of time that you need to invest in making sure to catch errors, you might just be better of writing it yourself. Obviously for autofills and several other use cases I find it improving productivity. BUT to claim such AGI in complex pattern matching technology is a bit of stretch Point is there is HUGE difference in learning fundamentals and coding to the business logic by taking online assist and merely matching pattern and recognizing max probability of code......imho
When I heared how he treated African people to get their biometric data before he went to OpenAI I knew he is a fishy guy. Now the whistleblower situation and his sister just *adds* to that picture it doesn't change it.
These platforms struggle to achieve 70% accuracy, imagine if you accepted 30% failure from your colleagues. Ai is garbage and it's getting worse. Open ai don't even know how it works, they are figuring out why their code generates the answers it does. Not if it's right or wrong just what is happening.
we're back to AGI, i thought altman was making ASI already? since he said he was on super intelligence i started working on uber intelligence, AUI, and also just to get ahead of myself i started working on artificial super smartness (ASS). man im way more ahead of altman than i thought.
Seems like these millionaires are uneducated and ignorant. No wonder they want power. Is a way to compensate for their lack of effort and lack of discipline to be a better person.
AI is the business advancement the same as crypto is the financial market advancement....the only thing they are truly good for is scams. If anyone can tell me how to start a quantum computing AI SPAC, though.....THAT is where the money is. /S 😂
Open AI must tell the world it will hire lots of AI workers very soon if it wants the profitable hype gravy train to continue. It doesn’t matter if doing so makes any financial, social, or operational sense. Pure cynicism.
Well, its brainwashing to think that the company owns the AI and therefore sit around and it produces income of which they take. What the future concept should be if the worker understands is the AI is owned by the worker and the work that the AI does is still counted as wages for the worker. He works less but gets paid the same. The key to understanding this is to understand technology has helped us do more work. If an auto mechanic buys all his tools does he get paid less by doing the work easier than ten years ago? He gets paid more. However his free time gets owned by the company. When the worker owns his productivity the owner pays for the workers output. Any increase output can give the worker free time to do things outside of work. With AI the idea of a virtual worker is great for the worker if everyone understands all of this. If all workers understand this then wages all across will go straight to them instead of the corporation. Take another example of excel spreadsheets vs an AI worker. Are there solutions? Have AI develop in such a way in which is open sourced or find companies willing to work on this type of AI that performs better than a virtual AI.
I think most overestimate the revenue AI will create. Sure some low ass qualification jobs will be replaced. But thats called automatisation and has always been there. See hundreds of blns flow into that area. I assume investors will at least want the money back they invested. But that money is burned on chips and electricity. So where do they think they make the money back. 99% of people i know don't care much about AI after the honeymoon phase. Much less are willing to pay for it. All AI products flopped (R1) so far. And they flopped even when they are free. Altmann even says that his 200€ subscription is running at a loss. Is it really that hard to connect the dots? We can also talk about the robots. Elons fake controlled Robots. Did you ever wonder why only carefully and polished clips of the robots exist? If they really had something, they would rub it in your face 24/7
There are many things a person can do with AI. I have become addicted. It is making things way too easy. For example, the other day, I asked AI to give me the cheapest day to fly next month and also the cheapest published fare. Used improperly, a person can do many things, make predictions, analyze statistics, and get ahead much easier than before.
You can also filter your search for air flights to show you the cheapest options completely without AI. AI is just a fancy extra step to do what was possible before.
@c0rnichon oh, it does more. It does a lot more. Last night, I asked ir to naca the stock market and find stock it believes statistically are good buys. Sort by industry. Make a list of 200 stocks. Sort by industry. Kids can put their homework problems in. It solves very complex math problems and explains the process. The models do more than conceivable. Think I'm those terms. Type in whatever you want it to do.
I'm already working on replacing my co-workers with AI programmers. they are so useless. I'm doing this solo and I have a prototype. I'm sure an entire company who do nothing but that can pull it off. The problem is, if you hire and AI programmer, you can hire it to replace itself.
Come on Chris, AI is progressing extremely fast, it would not be surprising if we have AGI really soon, why are you fighting that idea? I have a company with 100 employees, getting 100 additional virtual employees through AGI is not something I would pass, especially if my competitors do the same. NOTE: just because we may be close to AGI doesn't mean that AI is not in a bubble. If AGI goes open source (and everything is pointing in that direction as Chinese are open sourcing everything), and we get more power efficient algorithms (as we already are getting as we speak), all we now need is a recession and AI stocks will deflate by at least 80%.

The billionaires are not wanting to give the workers living wages, or social security or food stamps or vouchers, or help with the children that will be forced to being born into a world where what? I am having a little trouble with the logic here. So you put an android in a home to do things for people that have no jobs because the androids are in the workplace thus no income just seems like the androids will not only get jobs but their own homes where once people lived but now cannot afford? So the best job to have in the future is to repair the androids that will eventually repair themselves which will mean that job is out.... yep... Terminator seems to be the movie to watch tonight hahah.
Tomorrow maybe I will watch The Apprentice. (previously suggested) I did not watch the show because I have disliked Trump since the 70s. I remember seeing him on Barbara Walters saying he might run for president and thinking it would be a nightmare. Nightmare on Elm Street has nothing on Nightmare on Pennsylvania Avenue. Even Attack of the Killer Tomatoes isn't as ridiculously stupid as Attack of the Maniacal Mango.
They know how to build AGI but they don't know how to get human flaws out of it.
His demo is the largest percentage of individuals who get convicted for SVU and PDFfile crimes. It's also the demographic that's shown the most leniency by the legal system, which means there's an even larger percentage of that demographic that's actually committing such heinous offenses. I 1000% believe Annie over Sam.
AI has a role but I draw the line when it is used for things like HR departments.
"Underperforming employees" compared to AGI = entire workforce
Anybody without peasant mindset. If you're willing to kiss the ring and live on the company plantation you can stick around as a token, signaling to the radicals that they still employ from meatspace.
It's a good thing Annie doesn't live in the 1800s
Accusations like that in rich families would get you labotomized
I don’t care if he is guilty or not. I want him to be hit with something because Sam has made money on OUR data, with out our permission or knowledge. He then claims OUR data is his!
And Suchir's mom went on carlsen, in case anyone missed that
@ I did miss that.
Enjoying the channel, mate ✌️
We are lightyears away from actual AGI. These tech grifters are a joke.
They do not know how to build AGI, they're going by the microsoft openAI definition of AGI where it's achieved when openAI generate 100 billion revenue. No I'm not joking. So Altman is saying that he's found a way to profitability for openAI. LLM is the grift that keeps grifting.
As a trauma youth counselor, let me tell you there definitely is fire where smoke is! Believing that those supposedly destined for greatness are shrouded in protection-just like the gang of males who awarded themselves points for sexual rpes - the judge let them off, because he said it would ruin their futures, (yes all were football players from wht-wealthy families)!
Jensen used to be more lowkey and savvy but he's getting more out of touch. The start of Nvidia's CES presentation was all about how awesome Jensen was. And Jensen talked like a douchy rich guy during his presentation. He was acting like everyone had a $10,000 gaming PC.
I'm confident I can solve every problem ever. Just give me $100 billion.

Thanks for daily dose of pretty sane takes.
these tech bros really focused on developing AI for the stupidest reason, why can't they... idk. invent better AI to detect cancer and help how to eradicate them or something?
There is one rule in AI, a human needs to be ultimately responsible for any decisions or work products. Unfortunately, the c-suite wants to abdicate all responsibility…. I didn’t do it, the computer did it.
This is one giant grift that when it folds, will leave in it's wake millions of angry people.
why does this all feel like a more elaborate version of the "everyone better install self checkout! it is the way of the future!!!!".
Thank you for your great work!!!! I'll be with you watching this dumpster fire until we either put it out or we are all consumed by it....
Evil people.. 😮
If humans didn't suck so much, then there might be less drive to replace them.
Pero muchas personas están malo porque sistemico pobreza y corrupción en gobierno sin "assistance" social crean incentivos para ser "lame"
SA as a child would explain Annie's current behavior.
Is part of this video--including the comments--some kind of repost from a few months ago?
I've already seen/heard this! 😮
Will AI crush the human spirit. What will humanity do to feel productive if we have nothing productive to do?
Tough question at 1:00 .. tempted to say yes, given how they work. AI will make consistent mistakes .. not work fine on one day, and have an off day the next, making us recheck all his work.
I don't think AGI will actually be useful in replacing people. Right now many roles that people are performing can be replaced with automated processes using rules and machine learning. AGI has no real benefit in this respect. In most cases AI isn't 'artificial intelligence' but 'automated inference'.
The battle of the sociopaths

As if doing business on line isn't bad enough
BUT to claim such AGI in complex pattern matching technology is a bit of stretch
Point is there is HUGE difference in learning fundamentals and coding to the business logic by taking online assist and merely matching pattern and recognizing max probability of code......imho
The first A.I. that S.A. hires better be a reall y smart attorney.
We are looking down the barrel of artificial general Elysium. 😢
The Hwang afair...
Anyone who has banged around in the RUclips comments for the last few years already knows the "humans" left long ago--if they were ever really here. 🤗
OpenAI whistleblower Suchir was murdered according to George Webb, and Altman’s sister sued Sam for raping her since childhood. These are facts.
Suchir's mom recently went public with a full interview
@ tucker interview. Elon keeps responding but not doing anythinng about it
@ elon responding to who and what? and what could he do about it?
@@bevs9995Elon salutes you
Seems like these millionaires are uneducated and ignorant. No wonder they want power. Is a way to compensate for their lack of effort and lack of discipline to be a better person.
Another rich Jew who doesn't care about the world, only money!
All this for vaporware? Come on Chris.... they already have AGI. ASI is what they are currently currating.
AI hasn't been able to simulate the human brain. In fact, scientists are still discovering new things about it.
AI is the business advancement the same as crypto is the financial market advancement....the only thing they are truly good for is scams.
If anyone can tell me how to start a quantum computing AI SPAC, though.....THAT is where the money is. /S 😂
Imagine tech bros finding themselves out of a job?😂😂😂
We have been out of jobs for years, usually replaced by Indians
Maybe your Optimus robot will watch AI generated content on RUclips
See this older video I made on delusional people Tesla $300 a Day Passive Income Robotaxi Business

I trust Sam's sister more than I trust him.
Yeah about Musk suing Altman just because he's behind? How would this even be a case? Why does this even make any news anyway?
Masterful Spin Doctors...

7:21 Not if customers are unemployed & broke. 😝
I said, "Welcome to Russia." "Bienvenido a Rusia."
Vrssf actually
AI should be trained on the wisdom contained in your videos ❤
8:15 wait, you're not AI?
Buddy.. what happened? Did you hurt yourself? Or am I usually completely blind?
Nah.. that's all new right? what happened?
Doesn't Google Flights already use AI for this
I'm already working on replacing my co-workers with AI programmers.
they are so useless.
I'm doing this solo and I have a prototype.
I'm sure an entire company who do nothing but that can pull it off.
The problem is, if you hire and AI programmer, you can hire it to replace itself.
let me guess , you're a react dev
Lmao classic
