Waiting in the queue for Monty Python doesn't mean you were there ready to go at the beginning. I disagree with the assumptions, availability will be a problem with MB2. The long term value of a box is tied to the experience drafting it more than the cards, that's the problem with long term value of collector boxes, it's tied to the value of cards and chase of CB only cards. MB2 should be an incredible value.
Note that the card image gallery only shows 385 cards, which I assume are all the special cards (future sights, white borders, and playtests/online exclusive cards) The rest of the cards in the set will be standard reprints with the Planeswalker symbol, which we don't know too many of yet.
I feel like all the people saying “pass” (specifically because of the cards) are going to regret it tbh, they barely scratched the surface of whats in it and i think there’s going to be some great cards when the entire list is released.
25:48 you could get those out the door $70? I believe he’s using a phrase he doesn’t quite know what it means. Out the door price includes tax and shipping which isn’t free at that price yet
They put some really scarce foils in here. Final Fortune & Grinding Station to name a couple. They both look really damn good too but are likely to be even rarer than the OG's
I love MB2 order system. We have until (almost) the end of OCT to order. I will definitely be ordering at least 1. Would be helpful if more secret lairs had a countdown clock so players don’t have to wait a hour to get nothing.
Paying for a premium product is already bad enough but jacking the price with some random collector boosters and putting on a stupidly little timeframe window that almost guarantees you'll only be able to get this from scalpers makes me want to forget even trying: I'll let some other people worry about finding these at a good price I'll just pick up whatever I might want as singles.
Pass. I’d pick draft boxes for a fun play experience with friends rather than the SLs and three scratch offs any day of the week. I will pick up that Orvar though!
You're timeline is incorrect. Convention Edition 1 was first. The covid shut down conventions. Then retail edition was printed. Then a second run of Convention Edition was printed without a couple of canceled artists.
Mystery Booster 1 Convention edition came first, as a convention exclusive. Iirc, it was at a magic Con or command fest at Richmond. Folks speculate it only came to LGS when COVID hit and they were overstocked on boxes they couldn't use anymore
Question, I played for years and quit and sold my collection, still make me want to puke but family needs come first, I am wanting to get back in playing commander with my son, he plays, I was thinking for me this might be worth it, as I can make use of a lot of these cards as I only have some precon commander decks and I want to build. What do you guys think.
Idk, ive seen people open a couple boxes on youtube and the pulls on those nice cards are very low. Seems like the packs are full of junk. Would be fun for drafting but not pulling nice stuff.
I don't get the price comparison 249 vs 380. Counting 60$ for ponder, swords to plowshares (both ugly) a plains and a playtest card feels unrealistic. Similarly, 50+ for one cmm collector booster, who's paying that? Realistically, if everything else is sold on second market, the mystery 2 Display is probably between 180-200. Judge yourself if it is worth for you. I purchased 6 mystery 1 retail displays, I'll skip this offer
I was watching some reactions to the banning of jeweled lotus and mana crypt. How convenient that the collector booster promos are lost caverns and commander masters. Since those are the 2 most recent sets that will suffer the most with these bannings. Scumbag move Wotc.
It isn't for me: I don't want Arena cards like Oracle of the Alpha on paper. I don't really want the playtest cards, some of them are cute though. I just want gas reprints and a small card pool for consistent drafting. I am a Commander player by the way, I just like s draft product that is self-contained, Innistrad or Rise of the Eldrazi come to mind, they had their main set themes and perhaps a few reprints to help push things, bot "List" or "Special Guests". I was almost, almost there until the Arena cards were revealed. That killed it for me.

Concur
Looks like they're selling a good amount of these, came out 10 hours ago and it's still in stock!
Still in stock
@@JakeandJoelareMagic yah got an email saying it's down to low stock but it's still up!
I just bought one yesterday

Pre-order is live!

First printing of eater of the dead since The Dark
I don't know, but I ordered one. As my great grandfather used to say, "you only yolo once"

This is how I remember it, but wasn’t sure as I had just started paying attention to mtg then
I pulled the trigger and waited “in line” for this one. I too have the other mystery booster boxes. 😎🔥
Mystery Booster 1 Convention edition came first, as a convention exclusive. Iirc, it was at a magic Con or command fest at Richmond. Folks speculate it only came to LGS when COVID hit and they were overstocked on boxes they couldn't use anymore
kislux versace bag is so cute
I need one!
Hopefully they're great for players and everybody has some fun with it. Personally, I'm passing because I'm spending so much on SL's this year.
Mirri’s Guile is getting reprinted in the set, that’s what I’m looking for
Going to buy the limit
What time specifically do they drop?
It's usually noon ET.
It's 9 am pt
Not for me ... 🤘🦁🤘
Drana, the Last Bloodchief is only thing I want from the entire bundle, so guess I guess I’m just waiting for secondary market sellers for this.
Yeah this is a no brainer purchase if it's in your budget. I would love 3!! 💥💥💥
you can still get a Mana crypt in the new boosters?
No

buy singles or buy commander masters all the commons and uncommons are useable
@@prometha4592yea singles for sure.
The Professor couldn’t get the Monty Python Lairs.
This should have been a cube kit.
Has anyone mentioned that these sets are just chronicles?
KEEP STAYING PAWZITIVE JAJAM. THANKS FOR ALL YOU GUYS DO
Retail version needed. Obviously
Idk, ive seen people open a couple boxes on youtube and the pulls on those nice cards are very low. Seems like the packs are full of junk. Would be fun for drafting but not pulling nice stuff.
“Where you want to put your doll hairs” I think that’s what I heard, had me do a stop and double take while listening in on my daily walk, 😂

Second miku one I got wheeled out 3 times and then I got in to buy whatever was left and I was there and ready. Sucks but such js life
Good value and a fun draft, but I don't wanna support wizards predatory FOMO marketing tactics
“You are the Bloom to our Burrow” 🥰
I was watching some reactions to the banning of jeweled lotus and mana crypt.

Scumbag move Wotc.
Wizards pretending cEDH isnt real- then printing cards for it as usual . 😃
I'll pass
No 😊 it's not . Where's the mox ?
So... buy Festival in a Box because you aren't going to get it otherwise. 😅
Let's reprint Iona even though the only people who could use it are EDH players and oh wait....IT'S BANNED. Stupid.
9:22 yes cards printed in 2024 ARE indeed retro lol. Not sure if he got confused or doesn’t know what the words he’s using actually mean
I pulled 4 mana crypts out of one mystery booster box a couple years ago
To say collector packs have value? because they have less value than buying a cool card you want - and a high chance of zero value 😮
It’s definitely gambling and hoping for something good. But most collector packs I’ve opened have had like $5 or less value in them:

This box literally has SOOOOO many good commander cards though? This is probably one of the best boxes to get as a commander player?
