I have Grease 2 on vhs, dvd, blu ray...and if it gets a 4K release, I will buy it. I love the film and the songs. Maxwell Cauldfield and Michelle Pfeiffer were great. "Cool Rider" and "Charades" great songs.

I love this man! This has been my favorite movie since I was a little girl! I had a HUGE crush on Maxwell, he was gorgeous and still is! Such a class act! He was fantastic in the movie and no one else could of played his role except for him! ❤️
They say Tom Cruise was supposed to play Johnny Nogerelli and Andy Gibb was supposed to play Micheal. He did a good job.I liked Grease 2. His character was interesting because he blew their minds and was mysterious. It made me want to be the same way.

Maxwell was so wonderful as Michael Carrington, both he and Grease 2 deserved better! I'm glad that over time more and more people have warmed to Grease 2. I've loved it for so long and it will always be one of my favorite movies of all time! 💕

Maxwell Caulfield was in a movie I saw recently called The Boys Next Door.The movie was released in 1985 I believe.Maxwell knocked the movie out of the park.Highly recommend!

I'm 46 and LOVED it when it came out. I'm actually watching it at this moment on Pluto TV. As an adult, I see how cheesy it is, but it's such an endearing film, it has a special place in my heart. I was so in love with "Micheal" ❤

On our wedding day, my husband & I danced to "We'll be Together" as our last song. It was a DREAM. I have loved this movie since I was a child. ❤
The storyline was very clever for Grease 2. Randy couldnt direct again cause he was making Blue lagoon. To switch up the gender roles. Have an English shy guy. It was really a great idea for a sequel cause they couldnt have the old cast back when they had graduated High school already. Plus the actors were already old in the first Grease film so its was pushing it 4-5 years later still being students! It captured the same atmosphere as the first film.
It took me until recently to realize they reversed the Danny and Sandy roles for Grease 2.

Grease 2 is a classic, i liked it instantly when i first seen it back in the day. This movie has always been a part,a major part of my childhood!! A great sequel,i agree with Maxwell in this interview. I never understood the flack this movie got. I love the character Johnny,he's my favorite character in the movie!!! Very entertaining movie that is a perfect followup to the first one!!!
You can hear the frustration, which I get.. it would be one thing if it flopped if the movie sucked, but it was actually a great movie. And that flop obviously had massive implications on his career.
well he got Dynasty & The Colbys a few years later. which was a huge TV show at the time in 1986. Though it was season 6 so was on the decline. But he was acting alongside Charlton heston & Barbra stanwyck on the Colbys.
I think he came out in a really creepy movie I saw in 90s. It was him n Charlie sheen! Called “Boys next door”

Grease 2 was great fun but timing is everything in showbiz. Even with John & Olivia I think it would have flopped(their film the Two of us flopped which was kind of a sequel cause they couldnt still be in high school for grease 2)). Lightning struck with Grease success it was all the stars aligning. It had the perfect ingredients with 2 big lead stars, the chemistry, the music, the classic storyline. It was gonna be impossibe to recreate that. Its sad Michelle has never really embraced Grease 2 or showed up for reunions. Im sure she had fun making it so those ind of memories are important not just how it did at the box office. Its a life experience.

@@johndean4727 the grease 2 plot was kinda genius. They reversed the roles where the girl was the bad girl & the boy was the naive foreigner. Theyd all graduated in Grease so they couldnt have the same cast besides Frenchy. But the 80s were not as cheesy as the 70s so they left it a bit too long to follow up. Its like they missed the connecting flight.

I like this movie better than part 1. I didnt see this movie til 86. My parents were familiar with the older actors and knew of Maxwell from The Colbys. Interesting his characters name was Carrington in this movie, and that last name was prominent in Dynasty which The Colbys was a spinoff of. 🤣

The Boys Next Door (1985) is a RAW MASTERPIECE
Always thought this guy was cool, but didn't see him in much after Grease 2. I liked "The Boys Next Door", although he played a very different role - opposite of Michael from Grease 2. The original Grease was a movie I enjoyed when I happened to see it, but Grease 2 was the one I'd go out of my way to watch over and over though. Just a perfect fun 80s movie, and "Charades" was the best song.
I think he could have had a more successful career if internet existed in the 80s

This movie came out 2 years too late. It was rushed and multiple changes were made to the script. Also at that time, they felt Mr. Shakespeare soft spoke and sensitive character was out of touch with the mentality of that time.

My VCR ate my Grease 2 tape... that's how much my sister's and I watched it... was not a bomb overall at all
Same with my late wife. She loved the film and had it on VHS as well. It was the first Grease film that I watched with her back in 2003.

no he sounds very English to me. Im amazed he sounds that English still. Though his long term wife is English also so that helps.
He lost a lot of hair since then and he didn’t even have a receding hairline either. I don’t know if I’m more shocked over that or his wife is almost 80 years old. Some of these old women want boy toys for spouses.

Really hated this film. Managed to force myself to watch it once…. Never again. Saw Grease in the cinema when it was released and loved it ever since. Must have watched it 100 times, adore Olivia Newton John and John Travolta. Would have loved to have seen a Grease 2 but the same characters 10 or 20 years on. Not sure why this one was called Grease 2 🤨
