When I was a kid in the 70s my folks had a 68 LeMans that they drove for years and years.. I bought a 68 Tempest while they still had the LeMans. Both cars were mechanically identical with the 350/2-speed.. the only difference was the trim and interior. The Tempest had a bench seat and column shift while the LeMans had buckets with shifter on the floor, as well as a vinyl top. Both of them were the same Pontiac green of the era. We got a kick out of having both of them sitting side by side in our driveway. Those 350s were reliable, and unique from the Chevy 350 - (none of the engine parts were interchangeable with the Chevy). It's good to see you keeping this car alive. Thanks for posting this great video.
I had the same car, same color , i also put on an eldebrock intake and holley. But i had so much trouble with the holley, I had to put the Rochester Back on. Everyone said the holley is so easy to work on, yeah ok but i was constantly working on it,got a little old.. i ended up putting the motor in a 70 judge. Tinkered around, then sold them both for cheap...peck
Wow… You and I are almost twins as far as cars go. Mine is a 68 GTO my dad bought her brand new in 69 and I bought her from him my junior year of high school. She was green ( I sadly painted her red ) and built a 400 “race engine” and a “ built th400 trans. Then came the family and the downward spiral of tbe GTO I still have her , but we’re both in sad shape. We should talk soon
