Myself I would like to picked up the whole pile of firewood stacked it all on the forks in line with each other moved it closer to the woodshed and cut through it cutting more than one log at a time that's the way I like to cut it Wow I love that wheel barrel never seen one with two front wheels on it that's a good idea I'll think I'd do that to mine thanks cool
Good luck out on your moose hunting trip. Hopefully, you find some nice ones! We had two young bulls fighting in our driveway yesterday morning they must be rutting. They are on the move!
Y’all are killing me! I just binged ALL your videos over the last 2 weeks, finished the last one last week, went through some Ryan and Von withdrawals and all you give me is a short 9 minute video this week?!? Lol. My husband and I LOVE your channel and content, even ordered a sweatshirt and t-shirt. PS>>>Ryan, love the occasional “puttering” while you work and the occasional “buck snorts” (aka-belching), you crack us up. 😂 Von you have a smile that is second to none and personality that is sweet as bees knees! You two make a great team!
Thank you so much for the support through watching and purchasing our merch😁. I’ve been trying to be more conscious of my noises I make while I work😂. Sorry for the short one this week, it’s a busy time but we wanted to get something out for you guys. Hopefully next week will be longer.😊
With the gravel we put down and our rather dry climate, I think that the wood will be fine. Maybe we’ll put down pallets next year if we find it’s a problem.😊
Rodents nested in my pallets under the wood so as I emptied them I removed the pallet and stacked straight on the ground. Been doing it that way for 15 years with no wood loss.
Old Cliff White from Wrangell once said that you could check if a woman was a good woman by checking to see of there was bread dough on the axe handle. In Thailand they tell by how long one can hear a woman pounding curry paste in a mortar. Looks like this is a good woman.
One busy little lady you are, I bet you guys burn alot of wood in the winter, it will definitely come in handy this winter, I always loved cutting wood and stacking it
Good morning and have a beautiful day I think your videos are really good I enjoy them So I can't wait to see your moose hunt So we'll catch you on the next one stay safe and have a good day
Wood cutting is hard work and burns calories looks like something I should do but I live in the city. I am a weakling compared to Von lol. God Bless good luck on your hunt for moose. 👍🏼👍🏼
That would have been so nice to have attracted when I used to cut firewood and sell it most of my problems are with my back is from cutting firewood and selling it and plus I was a dummy and used to pick up big three foot rounds and put them in the truck from Old World fur manhandling stuff that I shouldn't have been but cut and fired one's hard work and I did it for like 15 years big old growth furring nothing to play around with now I sit at home and pop my pain pills and and wine and snivel like an old man but I can😁😁😁🤣🤣🤣Good job on that woodshed looks really good I would have put pallets down on the floor but I had in my wood sheds wood palace stacked the wood up on top of the pallets they last for years I still got some in my sheds that are probably 50 years old let's the arrogant up underneath the firewood and you don't have that dirt stuck to the bottom of the wood
Thank you for sharing Y'all are happy and hard workers. You also know how to mix a little fun and pleasure into your lives. God's blessings be upon you. Sending love and support from Florida 🌺💫💫💫
Another great Friday morning. Thanks for sharing your story with us. Good luck moose hunting. I'm waiting for elk season here in Colorado. Have a Blessed week.
We did 10 cord tree length ands I think you could fit 10 but we split anything 6” or bigger which allows for tighter stacking. So that’s my guess. And you guys burn a lot of softwood. And I know I know it all burns and creates heat for sure ! But is that the primary heat source in that area ? As far as wood I mean. You’d mentioned a lot of creosote so that’s why I ask. I think this would be a great stand alone video for you guys to do with winter coming. In Maine I only burn hardwood because of the creosote from softwoods. Love what you’re doin ! Take care guys
Thanks 😊 We only have soft woods up here except for a few stands of Birch trees that are what we consider hard wood. We will be eventually installing a forced air heater but wood is it for now.
Love to see you work, is amazing how nice it looks there, I'm from Wethersfield ct 06109, and I will love the Bugzilla, jajajajajaja Jajajajajaja, I mean the cookit bug zapper 😂😂😊😊😊😂
15 cords, but I don't know how big the shed is. Y'all doing ok ? I hear there is snow up there, winter is coming fast. I;d love some moose, the thought of moose stew just makes me hungry. Can only hunt moose by lottery here, restricted to one and they are small.
@@wildwoodoffgridalaska Ya, figured so but then again, if you have free wood around u might as well make use out of it like you are! Love your videos!! 👍
Why dont you wear protective gear when using the chainsaw. I have used one on a friends farm and was taught to wear ear and eye protection, plus leggings. You seem only to have gloves...
Don't understand what people see and moose me I got my moose I hunted moose yes but I find our dear and elk taste way better than moose moose is way better than beef yes and see we better when it's basically free not free for me almost free for you if I lived where you did I'd probably be hunting them all year round don't tell anybody🤣🤣
I like these folks, there energy is great

@@wildwoodoffgridalaska Keep doing you Ryan, it keeps us giggling.
Von, I just had to say that your wood gathering, chain sawing and wood splitting skills are awesome. Very impressive!
Wow, thanks!😊
Wondering why the firewood wasn’t stacked off the ground so the bottom doesn’t get wet

@@ericmonahan6580 that’s good info. We do have problems with squirrels nesting under pallets.
Your wood shed turned out very nice. I need to get mine built. Maybe next year.
I was thinking the same thing about the wood being on the ground
it looks like a lot of hard work ahead of you have fun hunting and be safe
12 chords + is my guesstimate, 13-14+ if you stack it to the top! Great work guys! Good luck Moose hunting, looking forward to the hunt! ✌🏼❤️🙏🏼
That will work but I hope we can stuff 15 in it.😁
@@wildwoodoffgridalaska I bet you can

Yes we do😊
I think that you will get 12 cords in there. Super video as always, thanks.

❤ is ladies don't need a gym when your running a homestead and chopping wood for the winter. ❤😅xx
Moose, beer and a hot fire.
Nice job on the wood shed, go get that Moose 👍

Hi Von & Ryan🙋♀️🐈7 chords? Happy Moose hunting👍😁🌞
Get yourself a pickaroon for picking up the wood. Save your back!
You 2 are AWESOME 👏
Thank you for sharing

❤💪 🇺🇸 excellent videos 🏆 maybe next year you can build a floor to keep the firewood off the ground 👌 you're doing awesome
My idea is 7 cords on left, 7 cords on fight, aisle down middle.
Use one side this year, opposite side next year.
Great idea 💡
Another great Friday morning. Thanks for sharing your story with us. Good luck moose hunting. I'm waiting for elk season here in Colorado. Have a Blessed week.
Haven't had moose everything but and Haven't had beaver either
Love the video
You get warm a lot cutting fire wood
Hope you got a moose can’t wait to see the hunting video
Pallets for wood floors wood shed
Great team work !
Awesomw job guys.
Thanks Brian. How are you enjoying all of that rain?
15 max cords if you stack it right up.
Good job
Cant wait nothing better than getting out hunting ! well eating moose is dam good to good luck !
I believe that you will have 13-14 cords of wood.
Good start to the wood shed!! I want to say 12-13 cords
8 1/2 cords just a guess . Hope all is well. Keep the videos coming .. I love them
I’m hoping it’s closer to 12
Love your videos
Am I going nuts??…. Von stacked the wood on the left of the woodshed, then I see Ryan and the wood is stacked on the right?? 😂
I noticed that too. Both of us going nuts.
Dryness issue on logs.
It looks like it is already split when it shows Ryan. Von just buck it up and stack that.
Von must of split the wood she stacked on the left and then put it on the right. Because the wood on the right is split, at least most of it is.
Von cut and stacked the wood then decided she’d rather split and stack it so that’s what she did.
We did 10 cord tree length ands I think you could fit 10 but we split anything 6” or bigger which allows for tighter stacking. So that’s my guess. And you guys burn a lot of softwood. Hi ya all great job on stick shed
I'll guess...too many cords for me to do. LOL Plenty of wood means the difference between life & death up there. Great job Von and Ryan.
Without wood, winter quickly becomes an emergency. It’ll be good when I finally get our furnace installed and have a backup source of heat.
Great job I just love y'all. As always be safe and God Bless ❤️
Thank you so much😊
Busy bees!! Good luck on your hunt thanks for bringing us all along☮️💟14 cords🌅🪶
Wood that was on left has been split and moved to right side
Von decided she wanted to split and stack rather then split later.😊
12 cords! Really I have no clue 😂 Forgot to comment on last week’s video but I watched it 😊 Have a good weekend 🎉 - Tonya
Thank you 😊 I’m thinking we should fit around 15 cords. I guess we’ll see😂
Loved the video 😘👍🏻💕great job guys 😘👍🏻💕
Thank you 😊
18. Cord 🎉🎉
That’s what I calculated.
36 and 1/3
Short but sweet
I'm guessing 13 cord of wood to fill the new wood shed.
Awesome job! Made me want to help you Von...lol...fun to watch too! :)
Thanks guys😊
7’ high gets you about the 12 you were shooting for
Thank you for the info 😉👍👍
Question for all those burning wood, will the trees run-out? Don’t know the answer. Are there enough trees for 30 years of cutting/burning?
With proper forest management and replanting programs, trees can be a sustainable and renewable resource.
Good luck on your moose hunt 🤞.
Great job. Handling wood for burning is hard work but boy are those fires nice. Good luck with the moose hunting✌️🇺🇸❤️❤️
We love the feel of good fire😁👍
are you not worried about the bark on the post you put in having bugs in them and rotting faster?
Not too much, we have really great drainage here.
that's good then ya I see it's very rocky in that area. I live in the great white North of Ontario Canada
I say about twelve cords 🎉
Just a quick question.
Im wondering what it cost for that semi truck for wood?
$2300 for approximately 12 cords
How much land in acres is on your property? Very nice video.
30 acres
My back hurts watching you guys....
15 cords, but I don't know how big the shed is. Y'all doing ok ? I hear there is snow up there, winter is coming fast. I;d love some moose, the thought of moose stew just makes me hungry. Can only hunt moose by lottery here, restricted to one and they are small.
No snow on the ground yet🤞 mountains have some but it coming fast. I’m thinking we can fit about 15 cords if it’s stuffed full.
8 cord
13 cord.
How's your can am defender 6x6 so far really thinking of purchasing one but holy cow the price for them
Yep they’re pricey but so worth it.😁 The 6x6 goes places that our Ranger can’t even think about.
@wildwoodoffgridalaska that's all I needed to hear thanks for replying going to go put money down on one
Good luck on your moose hunt.
Love watching you guys. The team work as a couple is outstanding. Keep on sharing and building.
Thank you 😊
I miss cut wood 10 c
6 cords?
Im guessing13 cords! BTW, I'm lazy so I buy truckload firewood split already 😂😂
I’m not opposed to buy split wood but it’s darn expensive here.
@@wildwoodoffgridalaska Ya, figured so but then again, if you have free wood around u might as well make use out of it like you are! Love your videos!! 👍
Why didn’t you cut the fire wood into wheel bow. Lol
I’m guessing 12 cords
20 cords
Im guessing 11 cords of wood
9 cords.
10 cord
6.5 cords
I hope it’s more then that or we may have to build another one😁
well I know you should close 10 cords in there and it's time hunting time so get it done
Never enough time😁
22.3781 cords
Building inside dimensions are 19’x12’ 8’6” in the back and 11’6” in the front.
Math is hard, LOL@@wildwoodoffgridalaska
You should keep your wood off the ground.
6
🪚👍
Abut 20 cords of wood🌹
I’m thinking 15 but we’ll see.😊
Why dont you wear protective gear when using the chainsaw. I have used one on a friends farm and was taught to wear ear and eye protection, plus leggings. You seem only to have gloves...
I generally use a helmet with ear protection and a face mask. Sometimes I just get working and forget.
You are wanting to burn this wood first. You should be be putting it in the shed last? It will be blocked in by the fresh wood.
Thought u said 8 but my memory is terrible
We need 10 but we’re hoping to fit at least 15.
Von , you are truly a beautiful woman .
Only one thing wrong you should have not put the wood on the ground up off the ground mike
12 cords
5 cords
6 cords
