- In this video I talk about the pros and cons of having a pixie cut! Transitioning from long hair to very short hair can be a little challenging, but if you've been pondering cutting your hair for awhile, I say just do it! You never know unless you try :)
My pixie cut has grown out. It has been exactly 2 months since I cut all my hair off!

Throughout history, men have wanted women to have long hair, and women of means and power cut if off (in myth if not reality).There's a lot to be said for wearing hair the way you want, and in particular, SHORT. You get more time, save money, look tougher, and yes, have more POWER. Good for you!

Im really considering getting my hair cut short. My hair is pretty curly and a lot of people say they like it, and I do really like my hair the way it is now, but Ive had this style my whole life. I kinda want a change. Im heading to college after this summer and I feel like this would be the best time for a change like this. I know for a fact my mom would be very hesitant. Im most worried about the constant haircuts needed for it. Idk what to do cuz im scared to do it lol. A lot of my friends support it and I do have bangs that I can use to help imagine how my hair would be short.
I think Im going to do it this summer, once school is over I'm going to take the chance. I just hope my mom dooesn't talk me out of it

I have always liked short hair. At times I have let my husband's idea of longer hair influence and bother me and my preference for short hair. Don't know why I let it bother me so much. In the end he tells me he likes my hair whatever way makes me happy. And he loves me no matter what,

FINALLY I FOUND SOMEONE WHO HAD SAME HAIR TYPE AS ME AND HAD A PIXIE CUT. I'm really considering chopping my hair off. I have bouncy curls (type 3a) but it's really an effort taking care of it for such a lazy ass like me. Haha

I am thinking of cutting my hair relatively short (I've found you and a couple of other youtubers who have hair like I think mine would be when short), and I've found that just deciding it, I've started to get excited about getting a little creative with clothing (which is new for me... deciding what to wear had always been a stressor, like another thing I had to do but was no good at). So that's a pro for me, one I didn't expect. Thanks for the video, I took a screenshot to show my hairdresser when I get it cut in the summer

I have the same type of curly hair you do and seeing your hair cut makes me really confident about cutting it short like yours. The only thing is that I have a round/square face shape. Do you still think a pixie cut will look good?

I lOVE that the biggest con of short hair for you is "no more mustaches"! :') I have curly hair and am going to get a pixie cut but this is the first video i've found of someone with a curly pixie cut so thanks so much, its great to hear your opinion! @@EarthyReenz I too have a curly hair and I always wanted it to look straight but now I started to accept how it is natural curly and I wanted to take care of it. You look beautiful with that pixie cut and that is how I want to look with my curly hair. So please do some curly hair routines and styling videos with minimal products and natural oils.

Do you still wash your hair the same frequency as you did before the short hair? I'm afraid of it looking crazy in the morning and not being able to throw it in a ponytail like I usually resort to, and I hate showering often.
What exactly do you do to style your hair? I have the same hair texture as you and I'm constantly straightening my hair and I just kinda want something that's not safe and easy to hide behind but I'm scared shitless that it'll just look like a crazy afro lol
I had my hair cut short during grades 8/9 because I was sick of dealing with headaches and the sweat building up within the bulk of it.. Leading to itching/pimples and dandruff. However, Puberty was an absolute bitch and thus my hair was a mop of semi curly tentacles. Now after 12 years, I am considering getting a pixie with shaven sides (not too pounced but certainly noticeable.) I have more wavy hair nowadays and if I wish to straighten the top? At least I'll be able to bloody reach it and do so without burning the shit out of myself. :D

before my cut i would put my hair in ponytail and i threw it to the front of my face n held it in place w a clip so i would look like i had short hair

This is not a pixie cut, but it looks great on her. Pixie cuts are much shorter with no overhanging longer hair on one or both sides. Think Twiggy or Mia Farrow in 'Rosemary's Baby". Non-Boomers refer to any short haircut as a pixie cut because they weren't born at the time pixie cuts were all the rage.

i hope u trim to maintain your original cut- maybe with a twist or an extra layer somewhere. u really look stunning. i ve cut mine off recently to a just catching the bottom of the ear bob. end of day 2 & its beginning to curl into an old womans lovely head of hair but not fkn Mine! CG METHOD has been LIFE changing. transitiong for a few months now + its cause a lot of gossip up here in 1960's Highlands & Islands- she doesnt use soap Betty.. oh Ina Sharples said she moaned at the warm water( moaned in pain i did- it WAS 2 hot+ my claims of only using cold went on deaf ears)- loads more- she uses dirty t shirts for towels Cathy was saying!.. honest- must b aff her nut like so so so said bk 3 yrs ago... lol! Why do you consider what OTHER people want for your hair? That's sweet but crazy to me. They're not wearing it or stying it. It's just for their pleasure, not yours. It's ridiculous. I get it for a husband, (even though precious few husbands ask their wives what they want the man to look like) but family? They should want you to be as happy and comfortable as possible...it's not about them. I know you realize all that, but still...
