I spent my first time in Venice in Cannaregio as I wanted less tourists and a more easy-going local experience and I did so with a lot of aperitivi and cicchetti which was marvellous! But I am going back and will visit the touristy parts next Spring - so thank you for your video, as I Tre Merchanti looks like a must-do!

You've been to the chinese copy of our pasta factory located on the main street. Many tourists confuse us with our competitors because they copied almost exactly everything that we do even part of the name.

Exactly! What he shows is just the food for tourists. Pizza isn't Venetian, as for pasta: we have some recipes, mostly with vegetables, fish or duck, but pesto is from Genova. There are so many good places where you can have real Venetian food, and if you eat it you won't gain pounds :)

Wait......how did we get to calling people racist? Actually the videos are cool however yes...people might not want to watch someone consume a rather large bite of food which is why on cooking shows one is instructed to eat very small bites. Not saying it was rude in any way but I can see how viewers wouldn't want to see the actual consumption. Showing what you bought and where is brilliant....very good tips. Calling someone racist when there wasn't a racist comment is just as bad as being racist.....or was it erased?

What is the name of the coffee place?
Hey Yums, my wife and I love your food/travel vlogs. Please please make more!!!!!! We're in Venice right now and went to several places that you have in your vids (great food!!!!). The info you have on the pasta place you went to is not correct. We went to Dal Moro's and it was good, but the other "pasta to go" place you actually have in the vid is Pasta and Pasta, which we thought was better. Pasta and Pasta needs all the help they can get right now with marketing and word of mouth. Their success (I'm assuming from your video) is causing other businesses to write fake negative reviews on several food sites (Yelp, Tripadvisor and Google). Keep up the good work Yums because we would have never found these awesome places to eat if it weren't for you, Cheers mate :)

I will be going to Venice for the first time in late June. Truly a dream come true. What do Venetians consider "their food" . I am looking forward to their seafood dishes!

There are others of course, try looking around or asking any student around: Venice has a big University and they will point you to cheap/local places away from the touristy areas. But you'll have to walk a lot anyways!
And for the love of god, DO NOT GET A PIZZA in Venice.

A local would never order Pasta to Go to produce even more rubbish the city has already a big problem with.
Do Spade is quiet nice and typical but ist was better some years ago. Please change your title in „ How to produce a bag of rubbish in one day!
There are so many places to get authentic food, baccala, polenta etc cheaper than all the TO GO shit you consumed.

I really wanted to like your video, but I didn't see anything "local" about it. The gelato shop next to Crazy Pizza is excellent, I'll give you that, but everything else I wouldn't waste my time with. An hour of internet searching and asking around in Venice and you could have had a much more authentic (non-touristy) experience.
Great video, but i think you should have named this Eating for all the locals and your wife. I feel as if i've just consumed 4000 calories in 5 mins.......

besides the stupid "music" many stupid comments ! The way you cruise through the food and drinks is light-years away from Italian/Venetians, eating while walking even more ! Taking with full mouth shows your "education"-level. You should go t5o food courts and watch travel-videos .....
