20 years in a Scottish police control room on 999 calls, been there done that, worn out the t-shirt and now getting the pension. Calls like that were very common and often good fun. I loved the happy drunks, you have to roll with them just as Wayne did. Brilliant.
It'll happen more now it's been glorified in this video.

Not as funny when one thinks that a caller with a genuinely, life-threatening emergency may have been kept waiting while the 999 operator dealt with this drunken idiot woman.

If you do that they can often call back. If you're not on a busy night, imo best to check they're safe and well.
