That was Yugioh at its best lol. For 2 weeks now we’ve seen what duels are like when Branded is the best deck. All the more reason Puppet can be banned (and others like it). In no world do you trade these high level duels so some freaks can play Puppet, Idol, or Ra. #ProtectSantifire

Great example of why Branded is allowed to be the “best” deck by Konami. There’s never going to be a perfectly balanced meta, but if the best deck is one that allows these types of duels instead of say… Runick stun? Konami can live with that. When Branded is the best deck, it’s always going to be a diverse meta

The fact that branded can incorporate so many different tech and strategies into it is the reason why its so diverse and can still function dynamically with branded fusion at 1. Branded fusion at 1 only makes people getting creative with the way they play branded and i absolutely love it
That ruling on how Daruma fizzled out at 2:38 is likely why some players don't even bother to read the opponent's cards anymore lol. It makes sense, it's just understandably confusing from a newcomer's perspective.

Solemn Strike can play through Barkion, it's a COUNTER Trap, you need EXACTLY a Counter Trap to chain to those. The problem Lab had that first game is they opened too many monsters with access to just ONE other trap, and would have been pulverized regardless.
Some insane plays by the branded pilot that went underappreciated here - I really don’t think anyone sane can knock them for *checks notes* playing too heavily into Weighbridge? Shrouded Albion sending Retribution for cost then being pitched as CL2 with BIHS, Quem sending Quem to turn Banishment online, using Branded Lost early to grab a Mercourier for a potential Ash, using Branded Lost late to enable multiple unrespondable pops in the same chain. Crazy how people to this day call the deck “Braindead” with the skill expression on display here.
Finals game 1 was an intense grind game. I'm believing more so that someone at Konami is a serious branded enjoyer. Good work once again Dkayed and co. Also everyone that joined the tournament.

I will never understand why the 2 naturia monsters are legal they're infinite negates essentially floods too idk how that's not the most broken thing in existence
Every deck has its weakness. When you ingore floodgates. Naturia loses against beatstick monsters easily. Vanquish Soul, Kashtira, Trains, SHS...... But excell great against those who rely on it so badly, Sky Striker, Lab, Runick. A deck is truly broken when there really isnt any counter part to it. IMO Vanquish Soul is pretty broken, you NEED floodgates in order to stop it, thats already a problem itself.
3 there’s also the Fusion which is actually the worst one but it’s just hard to get out. I don’t get why they aren’t more popular for how toxic they are.

mirrojade is such a powerful card but still looks balanced on the surface that it doesn't look worth the ban. Kinda remind me like dingirsu in toss format
Making your opponent lose card advantage from ANY location isn't yugioh exclusive and usually isn't that big of a deal when it is random. The issue in ygo is that they can't balance hand rips because it is always 2 or more potential rips plus big body on the field that does something else. Worst offender by far was gumblar. In the older days it was your opponent adds key card mind crush on resolution. These crippling ways of disadvantaging your opponent are never going away and they aren't getting balanced in this card game especially

They can't respond to fusion summon and fusion monster activation. But there is another effect you can't negate a fusion summon you can respond but it's not negated.

So yes, instead of not being allowed to activate roar at all like I was thinking, the fact is you are more than able to do so, but it will fizzle

It's also the best removal card ever. Non target banish + non activated effect wipe
And it can be quite easily up to 3 times per turn
@@B-slugthe wipe does activate just happens when it’s removed, just like DPE does on destroy and summons later
