  • Two flights with Dynamic WT9´s built 2017 and 2007. Ferry flight with SE-VPL from ESTT early morning with nice mist, then airworks and TGL with SE-VUZ below 4000 ft at ESTL (Ljungbyhed) Sept 10 2023.

On the FG the EFIS is a Skyview Touch. This is not the HDX version.

On the FG (fixed gear) it´s a Dynon, but I guess you ment the RG? Maybe a mistake, it´s Touch as I state in the video, and as I looked it up it seemed that version was called HDX.

First what the pictures implies, the old one feels a bit more crude and less delightful, and that´s not just about the finish and how the interior/instruments are made. It´s also somethinig I can´t put my finger on.
Speed difference is there, but it´s not remarkable.
Flying wise WT9´s tend to feel the same, but this RG has tendencies to flip over if you push it during low speed exercises as we did on my checkride. Never had that with SEVPL. Talking about ball in center (inclinometer) in both cases. Talked to one CFI about it and his theory was that the fixed gear lowers the center of gravity and stabilizes, and if I tried the same maneuvers with gear out in SEVUZ it would be more like the FG. We´ll see, you can fly with gear out up to the yellowe speed area.
Another thing I haven´t compared is if flaps 3 feels the same. Heard from one WT9-owner in Germany how he coudn´t raise the nose enough.
